Samsung has announced the launch of its first tablet PC - Galaxy Tab - supporting Google's Android 2.2 operating system and Adobe's Flash Player.
Weighing 13.4oz, the device allows users to experience web-browsing as well as watch films, view pictures or share documents on the striking 7in TFT-LCD display while on the move.
Other features include 3G HSPA connectivity, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0.
It makes communication more efficient via mobile video conferencing and video chat, e-mail, SMS/MMS or social network.
Galaxy Tab comes with a front-facing camera for face-to-face video telephony over 3G, while images and video captured on its rear-facing camera can be edited, uploaded and shared.
Samsung Europe executive Thomas Richter said at a Berlin consumer electronics fair that the price of the device will depend on telecommunications operators, through which it will be available from next month.
