The Sigma DP2 can achieve some "genuinely impressive results" if you put enough effort in, according to Stuff magazine.
Stuff says the camera is "unashamedly old school" because the user will have to manually focus when taking a picture.
However, the magazine highlights its "bright, vibrant colours, fine detail, a wide dynamic range and almost no distortion from the lens", which can be achieved if the time is taken with it.
The reviewer calls the lens and sensor "high quality", and admits the 14-megapixel camera takes excellent photos.
In addition, the "charming retro" device is "compact and lightweight" and its features include a 2.5-inch LCD display screen and it weighs 260 g.
But if you would like to try out another gadget from the manufacturer then it has designed the Sigma SD14, which comes with a super high mode for A3 prints and an autofocus function that has five focusing points.
