Offending images related to World War 2 have led to the recall of Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic in Germany.
The collector's edition of Ubisoft's PC submarine war simulator has been called off because it features swastikas in its bonus content.
Developers Ubisoft Romania did not remove the symbol from the game and its manual before releasing it in Germany, where swastikas are a banned motif.
The game's normal version continues to be on the market shelves in Germany, and the UK version of the title is also free from the recall.
Players take control of a German U-boat and fight allied forces in battles across the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea in the latest Silent Hunter title.
Silent Hunter 5 reached the eighth position on the PC charts last week after releasing on March 5.
