StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty has sold more than three million copies after just one month of being on the market.
The PC title was released in regions all over the world including Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Brazil on July 27th and it shipped more than one million units on the first day.
Players are able to take control of marshal-turned-rebel-leader Jim Raynor during a 29-mission campaign and consumers have the chance to tailor the gaming experience to suit them by choosing their own assignment path.
Mike Morhaime, chief executive and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, said the company appreciates the enthusiasm that has been shown for the product.
He added: "It was important to us to deliver an overall gameplay experience that was accessible, balanced, and fun, and it's been gratifying to see how strongly the global community has already embraced the game."
In addition, the title was awarded a nine out of ten rating after a review by IGN earlier this month.
