System 3 is bringing racing simulation game Ferrari: The Race Experience to the Wii and PlayStation 3 this September.
The game is the newest addition to to a series that includes Ferrari Challenge, which was released in 2008, and SuperCar challenge which followed a year later.
The PS3 version of Ferrari: The Race Experience will be a download-only game available on the PlayStation Network, signalling a key marketing shift for System 3.
The publisher's said it will be the company's first AAA game released as download only content for the PS3 and will be followed up with six more games over the next three months on platforms including PSP, iPad and iPhone.
System 3 chief executive Mark Cale said: "Having recognised the potential in digital downloads some 18 months ago, we have kept our powder dry, preferring to gauge market and consumer reaction while quietly planning a download strategy to steal a march on our rivals."
