Really small
os:
Windows XPHaving wanted a new usb memory stick for some time, the last being a Kingston 128mb bought a couple of years ago, I finally settled for this baby. I must say I am really impressed by how small it is. It's about 1/2 the size of my old one (66mm x 20mm x 9mm). The cap fits neatly on the other end when in use and it comes with a small cord to connect to a lanyard or keyring, be careful though as this was tucked inside the packaging and could have been thrown out very easily. On windows XP it gives around 978mb of useable storage. I reckon it's a bargain at under £30.
Excellent Quality!!!!!!!

Windows XPThe quality of Kingston is just amazing. My drive even survived a washing machine wash.Thank God.But donot try everytime because mine was just an accident. In all other ways the drive is perfect. Its sturdy case is the best point with ofcourse good functioning. In all worth it!!!
Big but small

Windows 2000Just bought this cheeky little number and i'm impressed. It's tiny and very light as previously mentioned and comes in a white matt colour. It's showing 961mb on Windows 2000 which is ample storage.
Kingston are a reputable memory company, for the price you can't go wrong.
Works fine

LinuxYou get a fairly light and slim USB stick with a plastic ring at the end that can be used to hang the stick from a lanyard (not supplied) or as a place to keep the plastic USB connector cover - but not both at once. There's a 5mm hole from the top to the end that could be used to fit a lanyard without interfering with parking the USB cover. The Kingston logo doubles as a USB access light. It's quite plasticy, so be careful if you think it's going to get lots of wear from being bashed in pockets etc.
Works fine with Windows XP SP2 and Linux i386 2.6.15, just plug in and ago. USB vendor ID 13FE, Product ID 1A00. Windows shows about 960MB free space in the default FAT32 format.
This is a DataTraveler I device, which is slower than Kingston's other DataTraveler II devices. Tried installing Ubuntu Linux on my stick - quite ponderous because much of the time was spent writing to flash, which was slow. Kingston claims max 6MB/s read and 3MB/s write so we're not talking fast here.

Excellent product

Windows XPArrived very quickly. Package is very sturdy and feels solid. The protective cap is very stiff and is unlikely to fall off. Speed seems about waht it says on the package ~6mb read and ~3gb write.
A big thank you to the guy who posted that there is a little keyring attachment in the packet - he is right. If you don't look carefully you won't find it.

********** for KINGSTON
Great!

LinuxIt's not superfast, but I've used one of these with my Netgear WGT634U NAS router with no problems. It gets quite a hammering but hasn't shown any difficulties.
An item of test equipment we bought came with a 256MB drive of the same series, so this range is obviously good for embedded applications too.
GREAT usb stick - one of the best!!

Not ApplicableThis stick is great, its looks great, works great, build quality is great. Its very hard to review becuase its near enought perfect. OH and 1 important note: Its also DREAMBOX COMPATIBLE ;-)
Does what it says on the tin
os:
Not Applicable... only it does not come in a tin. As mentioned elsewhere, don't lose the loop and ring that come hidden in the packaging.
