Works great for me

I have an Asus A6K notebook that came with two 256k strips. I replaced one with one of these and have had no problems at all. I was a bit unsure of using a make I was not familiar but no worries.

Reccomended.

Upgrade for Acer Aspire 5024WLMi

os: Not Applicable

Just in case anybody finds themselves in need of an upgrade for their Acer Aspire 5024WLMi, I bought two sticks to replace the original 2x256 PC-2700 Nanya sticks and much like the other Asus user with a similar model, they functioned fantastically.

The process was extremely simple. Open up largest of the two panels on the back (not counting the battery) then just pop out the memory out using the two metal clips on either side of sticks and insert the memory in their place.

Pretty good, yeah

Installation was a little tricky (due to my laptop (acer aspire 5021) being a little annoying) and fiddly.

I switched from 2x 256 2700 cards to this one, and to be honest, I didnt feel that much of a performance increase in terms of the number of application I could run (well) simultaneously, the openning of large apps like photoshop, video games(I have a decent CPU and ATI GPU), etc.

The guy who installed it said hed never heard of OCZ, which didn't fill me with good thoughts of what might happen. With all that said, it's behaved brilliantly and OCZ give you a lifetime warranty anyway. Plus it was quite a bit cheaper than its Crucial/Kingston counterparts.

Happy laptop user :)
