For the money it's really very good.

Windows VistaBrought this to replace an iffy microsoft wireless mouse. Read the reviews and tagged the purchase on top of a rowing machine so postage was nil. Both items arrived 2 days after ordering which was excellent.
As for the mouse it's very good.
As mentioned earlier I had the same problem with the thing not appearing to charge the batteries. Once i'd swapped some charged batteries from a dect phone it's charging quite happily. So either charge them in something else or swap them for a charged set.
I haven't installed the drivers for fear of my PC crashing every hour but even so everything works fine. The side buttons work and the scroll wheel scrolls. Vista installed drivers with out being asked for cd and the mouse connected to the base first time of asking.
END OF PART ONE....
....PART TWO

Windows Vistafor some reason. ebuyers review system wouldn't let me do the thing in one go despite it only being 199 words?
any way, it appears to be very accurate. Way more accurate and sensitive than the old MS one. I had to turn down the speed quite a bit in C.P.
Oh and the person who asked if it really looks like it's been shot. Yes it does!
The dents are however smooth as they appear to be under the plastic.
For 6.50 it's amazing value.
Great value and performance

Windows XPWhy would anyone buy a mouse with tail and ball when you can get a wireless laser one this cheap? And it recharges itself.
One tip- ignore the manual's talk about the LEDs flashing during the wireless connection negotiation. Just press the button on the base, then on the mouse, and wait. If you press again because you don't see the flashing you expect, you interrupt the process and it fails. Would you believe it took me half an hour to get that? Thought I had a dud.
First laser mouse, and loving it

Windows XPThis is my first laser mouse. I didn't even realise that optical technology had been superceeded until I looked for a new mouse for my laptop.
Works great with pin-point accuracy on any surface imaginable (carpet, duvet, newspaper, doesn't even have to be flat).
After installing the 2 batteries provided I left it in a powered USB hub to charge for 24 hours and it has worked since fine (the quick start guide recommends initial charging of 11 hours, but i'd leave more).
Some of the edges of the plastic are a little messy. The 'click' of the buttons feel cheap and the roller ball is small for my big clumsy fingers. It is great value for a little over a tenner though. I'd buy another one if I needed to. Recommended.
Fabulous bit of kit

Windows XPThis mouse is great. It has a very good range, the sensor is behind my TV, the otherside of the room, and it still works with no jerking motion. It is very comfortable in the hand. I don't have a bad thing to say about it. Why pay more when this does everything it should.
Great Mouse

Windows XPWorks great....I have perfect signal at over 5 m from receiver. Other people have mentioned that you cant charge it from out of the box. You can you just need to put the supplied batteries in the mouse and make contact with the receiver points around 20 times so the red charge light comes on each time until the mouse get a very small charge - enough to make the red laser light come on at the bottom of the underside of the mouse. Then just put it back in the cradle and it will charge out of the box.
Software needs work
Great value mouse and very accurate to use.
Batteries charged fine 1st time.
Installed the software on my Vista system and as people have found I got the blue screen of death about every hour or so down to the mouse driver crashing.
After removing the software it works perfectly and the side buttons still allow you to go either back (left) or forward (right) and that was all i needed so i'm happy for the price i paid.
Recommended to anybody who does not need the office button functionality unless the software is updated sometime soon.
Perfect!

Windows XPHey,
I got this mouse as birthday present and it worked fine straight out of the box.
It charged fine and I plugged it in and have installed the drivers (off the disk) even thought XP recognised it as well.
Part 1....
Amazing Mouse - Part 2

Windows XPPart 2...
It has not crashed yet (24 hours so far :)
but that may be because my computer is never turned off.
I'm not sure what the bullet holes are suppsoed to be, they even have some random placement lol.
My only problem was when i quit the mouse application and I tried to start it again but it just wouldnt.
Amazing Mouse - Part 3
os:
Windows XPIt turned out it was still in processes list but not in systray, I killed it and restarted and it was there hehe.
Overall an amazing mouse. Better than most, okay maybe not as good as the 220 logitech one but still for this price its damn good.
