This is the cheapest 4 port kvm with full cable kit i have seen so i didnt hesitate to buy as i was working on a budget... Must say i wasnt expecting much for the price but it is great. It looks quite nice and does exactly what it needs to.

Fantastic For the Price

Have a KVM switch at work and it's so useful - for this price you really can't go wrong!

The four supplied leads are only about 1m long, but that is the only downside.

Switching is easy, either with the button on top or using scroll lock, scroll lock and the desired number or 's' to scan the inputs. Has nice rubber feet which keep it in place when you press the button too, which is nice - I have to blu-tack my other one.

Buy one! You won't regret it! Manual is sparse but legible, with sensible english.

Product is quite small too, 8" long, 3" deep, about 1" high.

The cheapest KVM switch I have seen - some KVM cable sets cost more than this!

USB convertors and very high resolution work fine!

at first the beeping when you switch annoyed me but i thought I could live with it. Finally read the manual to find you can turn it off!

have used this with two different cheap PS/s to USB convertors to connect to Apple Mac mini and used the usb to ps/2 convertor that shipped with my keyboard with no problems. It just works with anything! No visible loss of quality on 1080p screen res either! Used Windows, Linux, OS X, BIOS with not problems

These things really have come down in price and up in quality nicely. My ancient 1400 rack mount unit looked blury at anything over 800x600!

Outstanding Value!

If you want a KVM switch, buy this with confidence. Bought it to replace a 2 port switch which was actually more expensive! Cheap as chips, does the job, and even includes all the cables you need. Bargain of the year.

Cheap but very cheerful

Very low price but does what it needs to. Having connections on all sides makes tucking it away a bit tricky but this is not a big issue. Switching between PCs seems to be reliable (unlike some KVMs I've tried).

A Great KVM. 10/10.

I have had countless KVM's before. Mostly belkins. The biggest problem with them was when swapping between terminals, they immediately swapped control to the now active box. This meant that the mouse would go mad 9/10 times - even if you did not move or touch the mouse.

This device is great 10/10. A two second delay between session swaps mean that it is quite frankly super reliable - swap between linux and bindows - no worries. It is easily worth 2 to 3 times the asking price for it. The cables look "flimsy" compared to the 3 inch thick ones belkin sell - but quite frankly they are excellent - no interference/artefacts. Scrl-Scrl-Num swaps controling terminal - great. No external/additional power required. Only suggestion to manufacturers is to make the orange LED's slightly dimmer!!

Buy one - you will not regret it one little bit. Thanks eBuyer!

Excellent KVM

I have had a Belkin KVM for many years and had endless problems with loss of mouse control when switching between PCs. This became even worse with my newer PCs which needed USB to PS/2 converters for the mouse connection. Replaced with this unit and switching is seemless on all of my boxes.

Current room layout means that the included leads are too short so have continued to use my old longer leads until I can rearrange the furniture. Excellent value for money!

Cables + Linux

For info the cables suppled with this unit are 1.2 meters long.

This unit is a real bargain, however when switching to a Linux box the mouse moves and clicks all over the place for 2/3 seconds after the change.

Beware the Refresh Rate

Yep it cheap and does what it says on the tin. However beware the refresh rate as 2 out of 3 of my lcd panels displayed "out of range"

Have now bought a usb with audio KVM (Quick Find 144548).
