Finest budget case I have ever bought
operating system:
Windows XPThis is a good looking case that although basic does not look as cheap as it is. The front panel connections work as do the led's. The best part is you dont get stuck with a cheap power supply that will be as good as useless for a stable modern system. I am ordering another one to replace a budget case that just does not look as goos as this, £10.80 is a small price to pay.
Fan Size - Repeated!
operating system:
Windows XPDamn I wish read reviews before buying parts!
I purchased this case with a 120mm and 92mm fan only to find the rear slot is an 80mm fan.
Come on ebuyer sort out your product descriptions!
Apart from that - the case is a quality £10 case :)
Good Case For The Money
operating system:
Windows VistaLooks stylish for the money. Full of thin, sharp sometimes pointless metal plates etc. Came with mixed bag of screws and standoffs. Front panel audio connector works well but is a bit flimsy.
Will take:
Front fan: 80 or 120mm
Rear fan: 80mm
Side fan: 80mm
5* rating from me for price alone.
WELL worth a tenner!!!.
Great Value!
operating system:
Windows XPExcellent Value for money, its made of thin gauge steel but if its just sitting under a desk it'll be fine. Looks more expensive than it costs, and all the front conections worked fine with a cheap £16 PC Chips board, I've put this together from salvaged bits for my parents, they think it cost more than £40 to build so they're happy.
As already said, an excellent case if you just want to tidy up a dated beige case, or build a cheap system, also came with plenty of screws.
Excellent for the money
operating system:
Windows 7This case is excellent value for the price. Now, let’s not be unclear here, it’s a cheap case. BUT, it looks more expensive than it is; the front and the side panels have a nice smooth, shiny finish. Quite thin metal, as with most cheaper cases.
I had a bit of trouble installing the I/O plate for the motherboard (the bit that covers all the USB and VGA connecters) as the metal blanking plate already on the case did not break away cleanly. All installed fine in the end though after a bit of fiddling.
There is room in the case for two 80mm fans (one rear, one side) and one 120mm fan on the front. Also plenty of room for a Micro ATX, which is what I was installing (Arstock, AM2 board).
I’d recommend this if like me, you’re selling this for business. I’d also be quite happy with it for myself.
fiting in the fans
As mentioned, the side and the rear fans should be 8 cm, and are no problem to install, but the front 120mm fan (which can accomadate a smaller one, probably 80mm) requires you removing the front fascia.
You can do this by removing the screws inside the case, at the front.
It's a great buy though, but it's going to be cheap because there's no psu.
A really good little case!!!
operating system:
Not ApplicableThis is a really good, CHEAP, little case. The metal is light and thin. There is space for 1x120mm or 1x80mm fan in the front, 1x80mm fan on the side panel of the case and 1x80mm fan at the back.
Panels are held in place with thumbscrews, and plenty of mounting screws are supplied.
The USB and audio wires are all nice and long, however the USB ports and 3.5mm jacks take up one of the floppy drive bays which may be a bit of a problem for some but was fine for me!
The USB pins are seperated which makes putting them in a bit fiddly but hardly difficult ;).
The audio pins use the AZALIA pin configuration. If your board uses the LEGACY AC'97 pin configuration you will need to rearrange the pins (and make some pins redundant) to get the front audio to work.
Cheap but very cheerful
operating system:
Not ApplicableJust brought one of these cases. At £9.34 I wasn't expecting a great deal. Delivery was next day.
The case is well packed. It is from China.
It's made of quite thin metal all round and whilst it isn't going to fall apart, it's clearly made down to a price. Screwing the sides on does add to the structural integrity.
It was a tight fit to get my old Asus A7V333 motherboard in, but it did fit. I did try to use brass risers and found that this moved the motherboard too high.
It does have a lot of space for disks, I think there were 5 3.5" and 2-3 5.25@ slots. Disks are easy to fit as they have cut away some of the metal on the underside allowing you to get access to both sides of the disk tray.
It can hold two 8cm fans or 1 8cm and 1 12cm fan. I fitted mine with 2x8cm fans and it wasn't too noisy.
The cables for the front panel are easy to fit and well labelled.
All in all a cheap but very cheerful case. The only major issue is the thinness of the metal used, but this would only be an issue where it was being constantly moved and abused. Mine runs a Linux server under the stairs!
Definitely worth £10.98. It does exacrly what it says on the tin. I'm going to buy two more as they are small and well proportioned.
Great bargain case
operating system:
Windows VistaI put a new top-notch system into this case and it looks great. Lots of drive bays and the front fan mount took a 12cm fan to blow straight over my hard drives. The drive-bay USB and audio panel is a bonus. I can safely say I would be wasting my money on anything more expensive when this is so good.
Great
Look great and comes with alot of screws, should be great for my build, will update on how goes.
