Casecom LG-779 ATX Midi Tower Case in Beige with 350w PSU
os:
Not Applicablethis is the cheapest case on the planet with a psu and it looks so much better than the picture on ebuyer
it has a 24 pin atx connector with detachable 4 pin, so can use with all MB's + 12v atx 4 pin aswell, it is not just 20 pin as previously stated.
everything was present and correct and im going to be using more of these cases in future projects.
well pleased!
Excellent little case

Not ApplicableI bought this case for a re-casing job when a friend of mine upgraded his PC and gave me the old one for spares.
It's a very quiet case, and the coloured fan on the front keeps the HD nice and chilled.
At this price, you can't go wrong.
Much Improved
os:
Not ApplicableLatest version which arrived today is much improved
425 x 185 x 425mm actual case size
Provision for 2nd extract fan on rear (8cm) and also in the LHS panel, which has venting holes ready. More fans than Kylie lol
Front USB/Audio is now under a drop down flap just under the blue fan. The USB header was one moulded block (9 pin)for easy connection.
Top two 5.25" bays stealthed with spring loaded flaps. What looks like a fifth 5.25" bay is actually a flap, pop it open and there's your 3.5" bay ready for a floppy drive (nice idea)
The mobo backplate is drilled for ATX/MATX and uses screw in pillars (M3 screws) not raised dimples (6 supplied in all along with bag of screws and one PCI slot cover - nice touch)
Both fans are 4 pin molex type with Y splitter on each
PSU I chose not to use as its only 350 PEAK rating. Plenty of molex connectors for drives, one floppy power connector.
Case is described as beige but its more a frosty white colour - looks surprisingly good.
The power and reset buttons (both same size) are now on the front RHS next to the blue fan, as is the red HDD led
There is no power led - you dont need one with the blue fan.
Fans are quite quiet and 64bit XP3200 runs at 25C with just the two fans fitted - not bad at all.
First impressions of light and flimsy proved wrong when all drives were fitted and it became quite rigid and solid.
Other than the PSU its a good case now the problems have been solved and I recommend this version if you can get it.
casecom midi tower system

Windows Vistabought this case thinkng it would be smaller than my current case as it is advertised as midi.Prompt arrival from ebuyer but disapointed with size of the case as it isnt any smaller than my current case.At least you have got plenty of room to fit mother board etc.Fan looks cool in blue and is reasonably quiet. No sharp edges on case and good build quality for the price.Front/side usb and speaker ports is usefull. As always good price from ebuyer
Good for the price

Not ApplicableJust received this case for the second time, as the first time had the front completely broken off - Only took a week for a complete turnaround though so good service from ebuyer.
The blue fan on front looks good and isn't too noisy. The HDD's sit behind it (quite low compared to other cases i've had) so they keep nice and cool.
Strangely, in the bag of screws, there were only 3 screws to fit the motherboard in place - all the others were too short! This meant i had to take some out of my other computer case - not very good.
The holding for your floppy drives seems to come out (either that or it just slides forward and back!) - though haven't worked out how yet, as dont have an FDD.
The mounts for the motherboard are already raised for the screws - this was for my AMD AM2 board, so Pentium boards will probably have to use the extra mounting screw things provided.
Sides of the case come off alright - with only the edge of the panels having to slot in - making it easy to do, and also use thum screws.
Not sure what the PSU is like, as have fitted my own. Seems to have all the necessary connectors though (nothing for SATA or PCI-E i don't think).
Also, the USB leads for the front ports don't fit into my MB - normally they'd be nine-pin across 2 rows, but these only have 4 pins and don't actually say USB or anything on them.... so not sure where or how they connect..!
Any suggestions?
Basically, its a "you get what you pay for" scenario - not brilliant, but it'll do.
