Excellent PSU

Windows XPThis looks huge in the pictures, but is the same size as a normal (?) PSU, and fitted into my case without any problems.
Large fan is very quiet, and provides excellent ventilation for my system.
Great buy!
Not as noisy as some
By comparison to another Ebuyer PSU described as quiet, "Extra Value Gold 400w 12cm Fan Silent PSU" (106619), this IS quiet. I bought both to compare them.
I'd recommend this one, as
a) it's more powerful (500w Vs 400w)
b) has longer connecting leads (+2cm may make all the difference)
c) less expensive (by a few pence)
d) quieter

Windows XPI've been impressed with this PSU since opening the box. It really is quiet in operation, with the DVD drive making far more noise. With it sat next to a Dell PC I couldn't even hear it without putting my ear to the case! The only down side is the lack of dedicated SATA power connectors but this gripe aside it really is a good value PSU.
Quiet and Compact

Not ApplicableAlways struggled to find a power supply that was powerful enough and quiet enough. After my last ebuyer power supply fired resistors out of the case with a flash and a bang I was a bit worried about buying another one. I was also concerned about whether a 12 cm fan was larger than the old-style unit and might not fit in my midi case.
Anyway took a deep breath and went for this one. At only £13 I reckoned it was worth a punt.
It turns out my concerns were unfounded on all scores.
PSU is actually smaller than the one I took out and runs super quiet. All my USB devices that seemed to have become a bit temperamental now behave properly again.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone else looking to replace a broken unit or even just looking for something a bit quieter.

It is quiet and doesn't get hot because of 12cm fan with cooling perfectly my case with 2x8cm (92770) fan and another 12cm (65697)fan under my Samptron 2300+, after when I burned my graphic card :/ (summer hot)

I bouth this fan to replace my casecom 300W, before I'd regular temp between 46C to 52C if outside was summer hot :D ...
Now I've some 24.0C to 25.5C degr.
This is working perfect for me...

VERY QUIET

LinuxI was very impressed with this power supply. I put it into a computer that was previously very noisy. I can't hear the PSU at all. My hard drives are louder.
good value for money
Can’t complain about this PSU, really good value for money. It’s quiet but not silent, but in a good case you would hardly hear it. I wouldn’t recommend this in a high spec system if you want reliability but great if you need a cheap quite unit.
Ps.. When I took mine out of the box it actually had some rust on the side of the unit, I would have sent it back but it was only a very small amount and I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle. I did not take that in to consideration when rating it probably a one off. I gave it 5 stars cause what can you expect for £13, cheap quiet 500w PSU.

Not Applicablei dont tend to leave reviews but this is a fantastic PSU, i bought it because i found my old one too noisy, i expected this psu to be quiet but didn't expect it to be as quiet as it is. Its an excellent product for the price & probably alot better than psu's double or even triple the price!!!! 5/5
