You don't wanna buy anything but Pioneer
os:
Not ApplicableNot sure what the other guy was on about skipping CD's? Only cause for that would be dirt on the disc.
This player works faultlessly with my 8800, and my old phone the 8910i. The 8800 has bluetooth version 2.0 and the 8910i has version 1.0, so pioneer decks are compatible with both.
Likewise though i couldn't upload my phonebook onto the player, but I believe u can get firmware updates from pioneer.
The graphics n screen look amazing, and the remote is very ergonomic to use. Pioneer easily make the best looking HU.
The sound quality and features are AWESOME.
Pioneer DEH-P75BT Bluetooth Head Unit

Not ApplicableI agree with S J W.
This unit is amazing and great value for money. Like SJW, I also use this headunit with my 8800 sirroco and it works flawlessly every time. it is also a great starting point for anyone who is going for a much more powerfull aftermarket system. the bluetooth quality is really good. the oel display is amazing too. i also have the pioneer ipod adaptor into this unit and again works peerfect.
my only suggestion to pioneer would be to make the mounting bracket for the microphone a little more directional- you will be able to point the mic up and down, but not side to side (then again you may not need to do this- but if you could it would be easier.
(with the 8800 you CAN upload your contacts to the headunit, the only downside is that they have to be done one by one: THIS IS A PHONE ISSUE not the head unit (to send contacts on the 8800 go to the contact> details> send Bus Card> Via bluetooth))
other then that i give this unit 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone
OK but not great

Not ApplicableI bought this as an alternative to the bluetooth parrot car kit I have just had to return to my previous employer. It works ok, but every now and then it behaves strangely - it will cut off a call and immidiately dial the first entry in my phonebook. Also, when a call comes in, it only displays the caller's number not their name, despite having uploaded my phonebook to the unit.
Sound quality is generally good, although it skipped quite a lot with a cd-r I burned for it, but it's fine with cd-rw so far. May just have been a dodgy disk as I haven't tried any more yet.
I also found the menu/settings etc quite confusing to navigate - certainly not as intuitive as previous models I've had from other manufacturers like Kenwood, but then the Kenwoods kept breaking, so I thought I'd try this Pioneer instead.
On the whole it's ok, just not quite as fantastic as I had expected for £300.
