Very impressive. I achieve the rated 85mpbs speed!

I took the time to set these up so they're plugged directly in to the wall (rather than through any splitters / trailing sockets), as this would apparently give best performance...

It DEFINITELY did - speeds of 83 to 85mbps on my first try, according to the configuration utility included. Knocks the spots off my .11G wifi, and is also much more reliable (no little dropouts!). The speed is somewhat variable, but I have yet to see it drop below about 58mbit/s - which is more than my wifi could manage at its best!

The design of this particular product is superb - none of the "gigantic wall-wart" offerings would have been suitable for me as the necessary mains sockets are all obscured by furniture. These ones use a normal mains lead which plugs in to the device, allowing much more convenient placement.

One hint: Take note of the "security keys" from the bottom of the devices before installing, if they're going to end up somewhere very difficult to get to. You'll want this information when you come to setting up the advanced security.

The setup is easy and I had no problems whatsoever using a cheap switch on the "far" end of the connection to allow both my desktop and laptop PCs to make use of the connection.

I am the most technology iliterate person - yet when I needed to extend my wireless network, a friend recommended this to me and told me I would just be able to plug it and my network would work anywhere - so I purchased the twin pack (as you need two...) and I was up and running within minutes.....

Definitely a funky little design so it looks cool and works well and quickly....

My Mac Mini downstairs has problems with WIFI because it's sitting right next to the bundle of wires for my home cinema system. It connects but very slow transferring ripped movies from my iMac to it. I invested in a twin pack of Zyxel Powerline Ethernet PL-100 devices and wow - what a difference. These are supposed to support 85MBps - we'll see how close it gets but 1GB gets copied in 6 minutes versuses hours before!

Plug and play and can be plugged into extension leads (although not supported). They can be wall mounted look good.

If your Wifi is slow, get these!

I was a little sceptical about using power sockets to network PC's but I'm pleased to say this product not only works, it works faultlessly.

Do note though that you will receive a weak signal or no signal at all if any of the units are behind any form of surge protection - best to plug it directly into the wall socket.

As always, superb service from Ebuyer and another great product!

Just plug it in and it works - can't ask for much more than that!

Zero effort - you'll be up and running within minutes.

Ubuntu 7.04 and Win2k both worked perfectly first time.

Didn't bother with the included driver CD - it's unnecessary.

I purchased a pack of these a few weeks ago. Delivered quickly by Ebuyer as usual. I simply plugged it in to the two mains sockets (both at different ends of the house), plugged it into the NTL Broadband unit at one end, the Linksys Wireless-G at the other, then linked a PC into the Ethernet port turned everything on an it all worked first time and has worked faultlessly for the last 3 weeks. Easily worth 5 stars.

After reading up on this technology I purchased the ZyXEL product based on its looks and performance.

My router is in my front room and my office is on the thrid floor of my town house. I was having poroblems when trying to connect via wireless. I purchased the twin pack plugged one in the front room and one in my office through the plug sockets. The product sits on my desk looking very cool and gives me a perfect network connection.

Networking through your plug sockets what could be more simple!

Perfect for Gaming

Bought this product to use with my PS2 LIVE- plugged one of these devices into my PS2 and one into the router downstairs. It gives me a solid, stable connection-
Designed well as uses a lead with plug and does not block a double socket like some similar products on the market do.

Well worth buying- ideal for gaming.

Works across different buildings

Got this kit for a client who has his internet router in his office, which is in an outbuilding not connected to the house. We had tried wireless but the connection was flaky and depended on which room you were in. Using this kit we were instantly able to connect to the internet in the house, and the connection is now completely stable.

Two other plus points - it works on a 4-gang extension strip (though this is not recommended by the manufacturers), and the actual mains plug is on a standard figure-8 lead, so you could substitute a longer one if neccessary (a lot of these type of devices are awkwardly-shaped and plug in directly, which can be a problem).
