Awsome RAM
os:
Windows VistaIv had this kit since May last year (06) and its been running @ 1120Mhz@5,5,5,18 ever since.
I have tried this RAM on ultra low latencies 3,3,3,8 @about 600Mhz but even on AMD the higher frequency was best for both performance and Stability (the CAS 3 did crash on occasion)
I honestly couldnt reccomend this RAM more and I have been holding back on buying 4GB kits until they reach this performance at a reasonable price so I can have 6GB total system memory.
My system is:
Brisbane x2 Athlon64 4400+@280x10=2.8GHz
This memory @2800/5=560x2(DDR)=1120MHz
ASUS M2N32SLI-DLX
Inno3d 8600GT
Cheap as chips PSU
Maxtor DiamondMAX 250GBx3 @ RAID5
really good product
os:
LinuxThis product is super, really worth that bit extra to get premium RAM although Geil for example have some premium RAM with the same timeings for slightly less.
Fast memory
os:
Windows VistaGreat memory, is obviously stable as a rock on its advertised timings, 800mhz 4-4-4-12, but can do so much more. A little bump in the DRAM voltage can have the bus up to 1066mhz 5-5-5-15.
Only criticism is the packaging, the modules are wedged so tightly into the plastic packaging I thought I was going to snap them getting them out.
All good with settings
os:
Windows VistaGot this memory (2 x 1GB)as part of a custom build on a P5N-e SLI board. Not as quick as expecting and only 5 on vista index. Checked and only in single channel, had lots of hassle with dual channel, bsod, freezes etc.
Entered the settings detailed here in the review here and work a treat. System fly's now and with a Vista index of 5.9. Well happy and thanks to the post with timings etc.
Really good ram
os:
Windows XPUsed this in my new quad core build. Really good ram - absolutely no issues at all, just plug it in and switch it on.
Some people have been moaning about it, but the packaging was fine imo - I mean why pay extra cash for shiny boxes when the plastic does the job - ram is hardly very sensitive to static as components go, especially this as the chips are completely covered by the heatsink.
In short: good ram, who cares about the box. 5 stars.
The packaging is poor
os:
Windows XPI got this product on time so well done ebuyer but the actual product packaging is a flimsy piece of plastic, theres no anti-static bags or nothing! Havent installed em yet will post more info when i have done!
Compatible
os:
Windows XPWorks fine with an MSI G965M Mobo and an E6600. The packaging is more than adequate. Stuck with XP and it's really fast. Still not convinced about Vista especially as no OEM for system builders, only system sellers.
Corsair
os:
Windows VistaQuality RAM at knock down prices.. running 4GB of this with Q6600. Excellent quality. Fanatastic speed.. At this price get it bought!
Just Brilliant!!!
os:
Windows XPBought this to update an aging system.
Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe (Mobo)
2Gb of this ram
Nvidia 7800GTX (256Mb)
2x Seagate Barracude 320Gb HDD
etc, etc.
COD4 FPS went from 28 avg to 35fps avg @ 1280x1024 with all the bells and whistles.
Can't recommend this RAM enough, buy it, build it, love it.
