Seems a good piece of kit - installation not entirely straightforward

Arrived three days later than promised :( - not like eBuyer.

Installation really just needs patience and not panicking. I disabled existing on board graphics in the BIOS; this meant that I lost the display of course. Then physically installed the new card; tried to boot - no joy - it reset before Windows was fully up and running. System did boot in safe mode, and detected and installed the card. Still would not boot normally, however I was able to boot into safe mode and uninstalled the on board graphics in Windows control panel. Still would not boot normally - instead, going into safe mode, XP found the now disabled onboard graphics and re-installed them. Back to control panel where I disabled the on board graphics (which I perhaps should have done first of all).

After this is was plain sailing: booted normally; installed drivers etc from supplied CDROM.

Display seems stable and good - makes a huge difference to GoogleEarth. 5 stars for performance and value for money.

Great card if you are limited to PCI !!

Ordered this card on friday and it came the next monday as promised, excellent service from ebuyer once again!!

The installation guide tells you to uninstall or disable the onboard graphics or remove your current graphics card. Then install this sapphire card. Only problem with that is that you loose all display so you wont be able to install the drivers.

What i did was i plugged this new card in, then i installed the drivers from the supplied disc by using my intergrated graphics to see what was going on! At the end of the setup process, it asks you to restart DON'T!

Before you restart, go into control panel¬system¬hardware¬device manager and disable the inergrated graphics. This will then ask you to restart for it to take affect. Do this and then you will only have to restart once to get everything up and running.

I did the above procedure and it installed and is working great. Only problem i had was that it wasnt sending a signal via the DVI connection to my monitor so you have to shutdown the computer, then connect the DVI cable to the gfx card and the monitor and turn back on. Then your in business!!

So far this card seems great and excellent value for money.

Only downside is that you don't get a TV to RCA video changer with this card.

Excellent card, Highly recommended!!!

Great for XP, avoid if running Vista

Great affordable card under XP. Recommended.

Also tried on Vista, but performs very poorly (it struggles a lot - this is without Aero as it is not supported with this card).

Capable quiet video graphics adapter

Free delivery after a week was upgraded to two day which was pleasing. Few PCI graphics upgrade cards match this 128MB DDR example with triple interface for CRT, LCD and TV use as monitors. Passes extended tests. Only one gripe, the capacitors have all been marked with blue ink, presumably after testing. The free replacment was likewise marked. Are these B-grade warranty repairs? Goes OK though.
