Good product, great service

Not ApplicableOur old cheepy dect phone (bought in France four years ago when the euro rate made the 40E a steal) started playing up really badly the day after I'd placed an order for various PC bits, so I quickly used the "add" option to squeeze these into the order. I was a little dismayed to see the delivery date for the whole lot go out 1 day but a took a deep breath and reflected on the FREE delivery!
Imagine our surprise when this item arrived the very next day. Thank you very much indeed! Fingers crossed for the rest of the stuff on Friday...
The phones are quite easy to set up. Getting the SIM card to seat properly and read was a little fiddly, and it did take two or three qoes to succussfully transfer 80 odd numbers from the SIM, but that could be down to the batteries not being charged properly. A bit of editing (it's never as easy on a home phone as on a mobile I find), and then a little bit of magic functionality - I can replicate the whole phone book straight onto the second phone. Brilliant.
Only annoyance is that the ringer "melodies" are really crass. Only five to pick from and none of them float our boat. Once we'd got the volume and the annoying beeps the phones make with each button press under control we're quite pleased. Not sure of the hands free yet. It was OK, but the speaker is pretty quiet on first listen. Will have to play a bit more.
Would have been five stars if an "ordinary" ringing noise had been available to choose from in those five melodies!
