Fully compatiable with the Toshiba Satellite A100 and Compaq V6133EU notebooks that I have here. I bought this for the Toshiba but had to try it in the Compaq as well. Toshiba flies along now (it did on 1GB already) with double the RAM. As it is hard set by the BIOS to run at 533MHz, it has a CL rating of 4 instead of the 5 at 667MHz. This helps a fair bit as the original RAM was CL5 at 533MHz. A bigger hard disk is next on the list now, and still tempted by SSD or Hybrid drives (hybrid means going onto Vista though).

I bought this product to replace the 1GB of RAM already in my Apple MacBook. With 2GB of RAM, MacOS X runs far more smoothly, with less beach-balling. Great product at a great price.

Once I eventually opened the Aspire 5710, I was able to pop the units in and it greatly speeded up Vista.

Had to reseat the cards a couple of times, probably my fault due to phat fingers.

I upgraded my Acer aspire 5100 with this hard drive, from 2 x 512Mb Pc4200.

I timed the system booting up, which took 1 min 10 secs with the 1Mb.

THis reduced to 50 secs with the 2Gb, but the system its self runs much slicker. Like it should, basically.

Running multiple apps is quick in opening and response times where things were slow before.

Well recommended.
