I bought one of these and received it next day.

It's so easy to use and very durable. It's covered in a shockproof rubber jacket and had an internal anti-shock mechanism

I will recommens these pocket sized drives to anybody - especially if you work outside

Great Drive

This drive was bought to replace a 3.5 inch portable HDD. What a pleasure it is to just slip this into a pocket - no extra leads or power supplies at all! I've been using it for a few months now with no problems - it's worked on every usb port it's been plugged into, even a couple of laptops and even a dvd player with usb port (reformatted to 119GB FAT. Small, slim, rubber covered. I hardly use my memory stick, now.

large files and usb extn

This HDD came pre-formatted using Fat 32. This limits to files that can be added to just under 4GB. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Allocation_Table.

I formatted it using NTFS and could transfer 4.7gb ISO files without a problem. Transferred 21GB in approximately 11 minutes. Read the manual before doing this as some operating systems will not be able to write and/or read. Not a problem with anything newer than Windows 2000!

As with the reviews of the smaller sized version of this drive, it does not work with some longer extension cables, it was okay with the one that came with it.

Can't fault Freecom or eBuyer
review by: Adrian Williamsonrating:

os: Max OSX

I've bought several Freecom drives from eBuyer in the past and can't fault any of them or the service from eBuyer, so when I needed a small portable external drive for my new MacBook Air didn't really do too much shopping around.

Wasn't sure if it would be as painless as connecting the other drives to a Windows PC or Buffalo NAS but it was. Plugged it in and away it went, even starting Time Machine and asking if I wanted to do a full system backup.

Although the drive is slightly bigger than I was expecting, it is very light and looks pretty sturdy (although haven't tested the claims it can be dropped from 2 meters!)

Built in USB cable is also very handy so no need to carry extra cables and glows a cool blue when connected!

Finally just a quick word about eBuyer. Have been using them now for over 3 years and only once has something failed to arrive before the expected date, with most things arriving a good few days before (when using super saver). Even the lost item was replaced within a couple of days and a credit to may account for the P&P and a voucher for free P&P on the next purchase. Always there or there about on price I don't often buy stuff elsewhere, which is a testament to how good they are. One of the best online companies trading day in my opinion!
