Excellent Sound at Budget Price

Windows XPI have to say this is the first surround sound kit that I have ever bought for a PC and it was to work inline with the onboard surround sound on my Asus P5N32-E SLI motherboard, replacing a couple of cheap 20w stereo speakers.
Setting up the speakers really couldnt have been easier. There is a thick manual that accompanied the box but that was tossed aside as the colour coding is simple enough to follow. Simply connect up all the wires and match the colours. My particular sound card automatically detects whats plugged in and sets itself up however I manually tweaked this anyway and the process was very simple.
Voila surround sound. I have tested this with a varity of sources, music, DVD, DivX and games and all have produced excellent quality sound.
Additionally I have also hooked up the system to my Nintendo Wii which is the reason I bought the 540 over the 530 Matrix Mode. The Nintendo Wii only supports stereo sound so using the adapter provided in the box i plugged the Wii left and right outputs into the system and enabled Matrix Mode. The result was impressive! Surround Sound albeit simulated on the nintendo Wii with convincing use in all games including Virtual Console Games.
My only two gripes with the system as a whole is that the cables for the rear speakers could be a bit longer in my opinion and I will have to buy extensions to stop it trailing over the floor. I dont have a large room either (9'x13') so bare this in mind. Also the sub speaker has no protection so be careful when unpacking/moving this around as it could be subject to damage.
All in all and excellent purcahse for the price and I would recommend to anybody.

Not ApplicableI was optimistic about buying these speakers as I have only used 2.1 speakers before and I was either going to buy the 5.1 Logitech x-540's or the 2.1 z2300's because of the higher power ratings as I wanted loud sound. I have to say that I'm glad I bought the x540's as I have not yet had the speakers over 1/2 volume and they sound great very loud and clear sound, games / movies / music all sound very good. The bass is deep and will rattle your room. I could not praise them enough even on low volume you can tell the quality of the build and for the price I would say a bargain. I do however have an X-fi card so this may add to the brilliant sound quality but all in all a recommended purchase.

Windows XPHaving spent hours searching the Internet for a review of a good set of speakers without the actual hardware decoding in (which I don't need as the soundcard does all of that), I came across these.
Having really good reviews on the web, I ordered them and they arrived in what appeared to be a very small box at first.
The subwoofer is quite small, however my goodness it packs a punch! The main speakers express a good range and are excellent for all types of audio such as music, movies etc. The wired remote is perfect for just sitting on the desk and controlling the audio level, bass and matrix surround as well as having a headphone socket. The remote isn't wireless, but for this price who can complain! That and who wants to mess about with batteries anyway!
The cables are a tad short for the rear speakers, but overall I am extremely impressed with this system and would recommend it to anyone after a set of 5.1 speakers who has a budget of around £50.

Windows XPAWSOME! best £50 notes iv ever spent! hooked them up to the pc & cranked the up! crystal clear sound! very nice sounding bass! and you can actually turn the volume up fully with out any disortion or fear that they are gonna blow! and damn they are loud! also got my dvd player through them now, thought i would see how it sounded compared to my samsung ht-q20 surround sound & it wipes the floor with it! 10 out of 10! buy it, buy it, buy it...
Fantastic Speaker System
Just set up logitech X-540 speakers.Easy to set up, and the sound is fantastic.It has replaced my Creative 5700 inspire.Logitech blows them away for sound quality.And what an excellent price.

OtherJust recieved these speakers this morning and... wow.. Im quite blown away with the crispness of this setup. The downfacing sub its extraordinary.

My only comment would be.. your really gunna need cable extensions for the front speakers, theyre incredibly short, 2m tops. I wont mark them down for that though, they deserve a 5

Not ApplicableI just got my speakers, they are awesome, i was surprised by the weight of the sub, its heavier than I thought it would be. when i use these i tend to keep the sub on minimum, and that's usually enough. I played battlefield 2147... OMG the explosions are crazy, it feels like another game plus this has brought a whole new level to my music collection. BUT I did get a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Soundcard to go with it, I ADVISE u get this card to appreciate these speakers, if u have equivalents or better then your good to go.
P.S I had a problem with one of my speakers making a slight fuzzy sound when playing high pitched sounds, was about to send it back for an exchange but I realised that i had the sound on the PC turned up to max!!.. do not do this, turn the volume up 3/4 of the way then control it directly from the speaker control unit. problem solved.

WOW these speakers are the best
I got these speakers on friday and they are the best, I had some trouble playing it in surround sound but all I needed to do was update my sound driver then it was 5.1 for me lol the subewoofers amazing my hole room shakes lol and its amazing for playing games. Get these speakers for the price they are good a 20 quid saving and they arrived on time nice one ebuyer :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Windows XPWhat can I say? Wow! These speakers blew me away, and literaly. They create an atmospheric sensation that is hard to explain unless listened too. The sound so crisp, bass so strong and an emotional sensation that will leave you feeling satisfied with your purchase. Conclusively, I recommend you purchase a set of these as they successfully work with anything, film, general media and music. Exceptional! 100% Rating!
