Great value.

Windows XPHad some problems with the AUTO-SCAN function kept crashing the machine after reaching 30% of the scan and only finding 11 channels!! Discovered that if I scan manually setting the frequency range it worked a treat, i now have 50 channels so far. The pause live TV works fine and EPG is one hour out - but I can live with that!
Curing a few misconceptions
The hardware is compatible with Vista, however the software/drivers supplied are not. Blazevideo 2.1 is supplied but Blazevideo 2.5 is required. There is a similar product on ebuyer for a couple quid more that does come with 2.5.
As with all DVB-T receivers the supplied mini antenna is useless unless you are in an exceptional reception area - which most of us are not.
You will need to use the supplied Co-axial adaptor in conjunction with a good digital antenna. My roof antenna picks up 67 Freeview stations no problem. Make sure you use a decent coaxial cable to your wall socket, this can also lose you some channels.
In conclusion this is a great product as you can record all programs straight to your PC's hard drive. But like a lot of computer products it requires a bit if technical experience/experimentation to get it working to its best. The biggest issue I think is manufacturer's giving the impression you can walk about with your laptop and mini antenna and watch anything you like. Wrong, you have to scan channels wherever you move your PC and this can be a bore. Typical overselling by manufacturers and this applies to all DVB-T products, not just this one.
I would give this product 4 stars, only let down by its lack of documentation in helping you solve some of the issues
Missing channels
A number of reviewers get results but with missing channels. It seems to be a Multiplex A problem (with TV FIVE, BBC Radio 1,2,3,4 etc.)? It locks up for me on this at frequency 562Mhz which is Mux A from Chrystal Palace, and for others at 650Mhz which is Mux A from Emley Moor. Briantist on www.ukfree.tv suggested it was an aerial problem, but has ANYONE managed to get TV FIVE, Radio 1,2,3 etc.? I'm going to stop trying if it cannot be done? Otherwise it is a great bit of kit!
Worth the money

Windows XPTook me two hours to get up and running as the in scan-mode the supplied software kept crashing. found that scan was more stable using one of the pc's motherboard usb ports.
can't get channel five to show up using two different arial's and pc's! must be our transmitter at sutton coldfield though my standard digibox see's all channel's!
After booting up pc and starting DVBtv software the dongle can take upto a minute to wake up.
Fiddly but does appear to work OK
I too had problems with the auto scan locking up (on two machines). On a Dell E521 the scan failed when used with the front ports. However, in a hub attached to a rear USB port the scan worked OK.
Checking out the channels the picture and sound kept breaking up. This was solved by putting the dongle back into the front USB ports!
Now I can swap between channels OK and the picture quality is acceptable at the price.
Good but needs decent reception
os:
Windows XPSuprisingly good.
I simply did a global scan rather than a UK scan with no probelms wahtsoever. (all 6 mixes are fine)
I very much think that this item needs good reception.
Think about the Nova USB Stick or Diversity models if uncertain. This needs a good outdoor aerial.Given 4 star for the £13 happy hour price I paid.

Windows XPJust received this and it is remarkable value for money! Like other reviewers I had problems scanning in the channels until I ran 2 separate scans restricting the range to avoid 562MHz which oddly locked up my PC every time it tried to retrieve the channels at that point. I now have 50 channels (29TV, 21 radio) which includes most of Freeview but missing Radio 1,2,3,4. Using an external aerial, the quality of the picture and sound is excellent in a window or at full screen. The remote is really neat and works well. For under £20 delivered, it's a bargain! Well done EBuyer!
Better than first appears.

Windows XPI bought one of these because they were cheap and I wanted to record some programs for use later. It arrived in good time however initial set up was not good. Using the supplied area I only got 3 TV and 6 Radio channels. Tried a bigger portable aeriel - no good - but didn't really expect too much as my portable TV doesn't get much either.
Connected to the proper aeriel still only picked up 15 channels on the UK scan.
Tried advanced scan and maxxed everything including the frequency range - lo and behold I've now got everything except C4, E4 and More 4 got E4 + 1 no idea why. Good picture even when not showing strong signal.
Good product but needs some work to get there.
Need House Aerial
os:
Windows XPA software bug crashes the scan at 650mhz (Emily moor transmitter) Do 2 manual scans avoiding this and you get all channels except the 11 at 650mhz. But only on main house aerial. then walk around the house pointing the little thing that comes with it while touching the usb device and watch the signal go up and down until ..... ah forget it! Fine for main roof aerial but not a "portable" device.
