Superb Drive

i was aprehensive about changing something as major as the hard drive, especially after talking to shops for advice. After decideing to do some home work decided on the Seagate drive. What a fantastic drive, only quibble was that no fitting instructions but it is relativley straight forward. Only bug bear was having to reload software, that being said though, the drive worked very efficently and is extremley quiet. Highly reccomend, As for instalation, very easy. If you make a note how you removed the old drive, There might be a cradle on the old drive, remove it from the old and fit to the new drive. Very easy do not be put off, speed is especially impressive. I hope this helps!

I am a novice when it comes to replacing parts on a laptop, that being said after asking shops the cost of instalation I was sure I could do the job myself and save money. I read the web for help on how to fit the drive and the only thing to remember when replacing a HP zd8000 hard drive to use the existing cradle and make sure that the jumper off the old drive is used.



As for the drive itself highly recomend changing due to high speed access and quietness.



A great drive that is far supperior to original, a great deal cheaper than HP 80GB 4200 spin drive. Do not be put off fitting, as long as you fit the new drive as the old one no problems.

Resilient HDD so far

I searched for a replacement larger disk for my Dell Inspiron 6000 and settled for this 120Gb HDD. I installed it a few weeks ago now and so far it has been very good. There is a small clicking sound that eminates from the drive but after a while you just ignore it. I would recommend this drive to anyone wanting a bit more disk space on their laptop.

I bought this to go in an existing USB 2.5" enclosure I bought for a previous drive.



So far it is had a fair bit of use and as I would expect from Seagate it's quiet, reliable and quick.
