Having recently set up my TVmonitor at one end of a 5m room i needed a new keyboard and mouse which could cover this range.

This was as easy to setup as you could or would want to imagine... literal case of plug and play.

Its so slim and well designed that sitting under my TV/monitor above my dvd player it looks perfectly placed. Did i mention the charge port doubles as a 3port usb hub... guess what my phone and ipod are now plugged in to.

Now as for range well i can use it anywhere in my room which is what you'd expect from a bluetooth device.

Oh and for those of you like me who are still running a system with usb1 ports dont you worry this doesn't seem to be a problemo.

Though i'll admit this concerned me as its not mentioned anywhere even on the fancy MS website.

It may take a while to get used to the new key setup but its like getting used to anything new.

The back light works automatically when it gets darker. It may come with a mouse but the fact that i use the keyboards touch pad more speaks volumes.

My only real gripe is their isn't a black version out and the painted plastic as nice as it is would be better replaced with some kind of brushed metal or sexy wood but hey.

I may not be MS greatest fan but you gotta give them their due they make pretty decent devices. this lovely piece of kit though quite expensive is excellent.

Just wanted to stick up for what I think is an excellent keyboard.

A bit pricey, but it's well worth it when you can wirelessly use your pc in the dark from long distances. I'm running my machine through a projector as a media centre, and would advise this product to anyone considering doing the same

Have had this set for a bit over a year now and I'm finally getting rid of it - about a year too late.

What seemed initially like a well designed and engineered product has turned into a total nightmare! Aside from both the lettering AND silver finish of the mouse rubbing off within weeks of use, the cracking of the keyboard itself and its appalling battery life - the flaming thing just can't stay connected.

9 times out of 10 I have to run the "connection wizard" in order to get the peripherals working so that I can actually use my PC - either in cold or warm boots. The wizard itself takes around two minutes to complete, only to fail again if the computer goes into standby.

I've always stuck with MS keyboards and mice in the past because they've always been good quality - but this has finally pushed me to Logitech. Well done MS, what a high price for such a rubbish product.
