Excellent memory card reader and front USB2 port - compatible with Vista
os:
Windows VistaI just had to write my first review - about this excellent piece of hardware as I was cynically expecting problems with it.
It is about £2 cheaper than any other alternatives but only uses one internal USB2 port in a sealed USB header, as opposed to individual pins for the Xpro card readers.
It took me about 2 minutes to install it in a floppy drive bay and connect it to the USB port on my Gigabyte AM2 motherboard.
Windows Vista found it quickly and allocated 4 drive letters.
The only downside with the product is that the Corsair x60 2GB SD memory card (which I bought for Vista Speedboost) protrudes out the front a bit more than I had hoped.
I've just ordered another one for my other system.
No-fuss Card Reader :)

Not ApplicableNothing to get excited about - it does exactly as it says on the tin really!
The black is matt, meaning it matches black-plastic bezels and not black-metallic bezels. The labels are in white and are very clear. It plugs into one USB header on your motherboard to give you a card reader and one extra USB port. The cable is sleeved in black plastic so will not look out of place in a tidy case. It is 2.0 compliant and so will give you speed of "up to" 480Mbps. Also, it has no branding on the front, which is excellent for a clean looking install :)
Note: I have NOT completed my computer build yet so am unable to comment on its performance in Windows.
Great value Reader

Windows XPTop value kit!! Well put together and a breeze to install .Simple "one socket" connection makes for easy instant connection.Just insert in the bay , fasten with supplied screws and fire up the PC. Windows XP instantly recognizes the install and the drive icons are there in "My Computer" .Clean and unfussy design and well worth the money!!Buy one !!
SDHC Cards work!
os:
Windows XPWell, for me they do. That's plugging it into an Asus P5K motherboard and using XP. I have not needed to install the XP patch for SDHC cards.
Excellent value, and the lead is long enough for my case.
Great Buy

Not ApplicableGot this today, havent plugged it in yet altho i am 99% sure this beauty will work just fine. it looks brill, no labels or anything on the front so you get a clean look. Well worth the money and its 26 in 1!!
Excellent
os:
Windows VistaGood quality product with usb header which means it plugs directly into motherboard without having to fiddle with and configure individual wires.
A cautionary tale
os:
Windows XPThis is a brilliant piece of kit. Does what it say on the tin.
However, don't connect it to the motherboard USB header until after Windows is installed. I did. No problem at all instaling windows.
But
When I went to install the mobo drivers from the manufacturer CD it kept failing with an I/O Error 21.
The reason is that XP had assigned this unit as Drives C: thru f:, the optical drive was G: and the boot (sata) HD was H: (floppy was still A:).
And as we all know you can't change the drive assignment of the boot drive.
Windows is reinstalling as I type...
Beware of USB lead length
os:
Windows VistaDoes what is says on the tin. Good product and value for money. One warning though. If you are mounting in a 5.25" bay and not lower down in 3.5" bay and USB header on motherboard is not towards the front of the PC the USB lead will be short. I have fitted a number of these types of units and this make appears to be about 4 inches shorter than most.
Brilliant piece of kit
os:
Windows XPLike most Enlight readers, this is a solidly built piece of kit which does what it says on the tin with the minimal amount of fuss.
Works perfectly
os:
Windows XPInstalled in a few minutes and works perfectly for CF, MS Pro, MS Pro Duo and SD cards of various capacities.
Appears in Windows Explorer as 4 card readers so it takes a little time to figure out which one is which slot. Mine went CF, xD, SD then MS, but it might be different for other people.
As previously stated, this uses a single USB header on the motherboard and the extra USB port comes in surprisingly useful.
