I believe this unit does not support USB 2.0, just the older 1.1 I'm sharing a USB 2.0 Epson printer with a laptop running Vista and a Desktop running XP. Have to say that this unit does not appear to slow printing / speed performance considering it's slower transfer rate. Included simple switching software must be installed on BOTH PCs for correct functions - this is not stressed in the instructions. This unit does support BI Directional functions which means it can display printer functions (ink and paper status etc) as though it was connected to your PC normally. Very good product.
