A perfect mouse for any user, it fits any hand, big or small. If your old mouse was a different shape it takes a few hours to get used to. However if your old mouse was a different weight, no need to worry, this has a weight feature to place weights inside, very simple. Another AMAZING feature which I love, is the 2 buttons to adjust between 3 mouse dpi/sensisitivty settings, this is great for BF2, you can quickly press the button to lower the speed and voila slow sniper-scope perfectionist sensitivity.

10 hours of solid gaming and no jumps whatsoever. (And this is on a really cheap mouse pad). I am about to buy a SteelSeries QcK Heavy mouse pad for an even smoother touch + wrist support due to 6mm pad.

If you have any issues remember to go to Logitech and download the latest driver software, (apparently some users had issues with 1.0 drivers on Icemats), however it is fully fixed with the latest drivers.

Arrived in perfect condition and on time, thanks Ebuyer and Logitech.

Best gaming upgrade

Bought this over the old style G5, glad I did.

After looking around it seemed that the extra button was a real bonus. I use it to change speeds between the already three settings in game The sensitivity has been increased from 500 to 1000. The mouse automatically sets itself at 500 but you can raise it to 1000 but it gives you a message saying it requires more system resources.

Upon getting the mouse it was nicely packaged, Inside I found the mouse, a small box full of weights, a weight cartridge, drivers and a manual.

The looks are great, black and blue. Matches the G15 keyboard I have, would of been nicer with a bit more silver though. The mouse has a 'skin' if you like, you can see this on the image where you can see blue lines. It feels like a reptile or something. This is great as it stops your hand from getting sweaty as well as giving more grip! The orange buttons down the side as they indicate what speed setting your mouse is at.

The shape is also perfect, it fits my hand extremely well. Its very comfortable. The mouse also has some pads on the bottom which really help glide over your mouse mat. I bought a Everglide Titan (elsewhere) and it works a treat.

The clicks are satisfying but not to loud. The wheel can scroll side to side by pushing it sideward as well as up and down.

The mouse was recognized automatically. I installed the drivers/software anyway as if you dont you can fiddle about with the settings. The program was easy to use. Three tabs are available so you can configure each button, set mouse movement and then mouse game settings with an advanced option of letting you change the sensitivity. Theres also tools that lets you look for updates and view information such as driver version, control version etc.

I was ready to have a go in BF2, It didnt take long to notice how much my game play had improved. Where as I would usually get 'pwned' I was 'pwning.' To be fair I used to use a wireless mouse which are rubbish for gaming. The sensitivity buttons are a treat. Grab the sniper kit and lower the sensitivity so the mouse moves less quickly and you can get that important head shot. Running around raise the sensitivity so you can turn and aim your gun quickly. I haven't flown jets or helis yet though.

Cons: The scroll wheel is a little stiff to push down. Also the cord is a little bit spring after being packaged in the box so it sort of pulls the mouse a little bit, only minor things. Also, if your left handed I don't think this mouse is for you.

I want to be the first to say what an amazing mouse this is. i received it yesterday as an upgrade from a worn out old style G5, and the new styling and extra thumb button sets this mouse way above the rest. If the old G5 got 5 stars this must get 6 stars!

This feels great in the hand. It looks great, and performs great. With 5 different dpi settings, it's perfect for careful tracing on Photoshop or precision gaming. Highly recommended for anyone.

Differences

In response to robbie, there is no major differences other than the additional side button from the MX series. This means there is a forward and back button on the side. I have used the MX and G series and the back/forward buttons do make a huge difference when using on desktop, not just gaming.

I recieved this mouse yesterday, feels rather nice and a better upgrade from the old G5, I'm using all this with my G15 Keyboard and my Icemat 2, so all in all worth every penny!
