Good at the price

I bought two of these twins at 17 pounds each, to make a quad. I've previously had quad BT Diverse (poor range) and BT Studio 1100 (fine, but after 6 months the base-station died).

Nobody will buy these phones for their appearance, but they work. They have all the expected features (including caller id which wasn't mentioned in the spec). Range is almost as good as the BT Studio. There are 10 ringtones, 5 polyphonic. You can choose a different one for internal versus external calls, and each phone-book entry can have its own selection.

Downside? Each handset has its own phone-book, and entries can't be shared between phones; so each has to be entered four times :(. You can't answer a call just by picking up a phone, you have to press a button. The phones' "OK" sound, which is played e.g. on putting a phone back on its charger, is a rather loud cuckoo call: amusing at first, but after a while...

Together, these drawbacks are just about enough to drop a star (especially as one handset occasionally decides it's out of range just a few yards from the base-station). Nevertheless, well worth it at the price.
