Great bit of kit

Arrived formatted as FAT32?
Just got mine today - exemplary service - as ever - from EBuyer. Plugged in, XP finds new hardware, check Explorer...465GB. GOOD.
Tried copying files from my old drive to this, and got a couple of failures saying insufficient disk space when copying over some ISO files...turns out it arrived formatted as FAT32? Anyway, reformatted as NTFS and all OK, but that lost me probably an hour of copying data?
Other than that, excellent product at an excellent price.
Great under Linux

LinuxArrived yesterday. Great thing. Works wonderfully under Linux (Fedora Core 5): just plugged in and recognised as SCSI device /dev/sda, just like a usb flashdrive. Auto spindown works as well.

I wanted to buy this from Maplin... they had an offer that had it reduced from £159.99 to £99.99 But Ebuyer are chepaer by £20!! and they offer free delivery .. What a bargain. Then I sa it in Amazon for £78.00 inc free delivery.. Come on Ebuyer beat Amazon's price :)

Windows VistaThis hard-drive is great. Its fast, and you can just plug it in and transfer files straight away. No Cd needed and you dont need to restart your PC. The rubber Cover provides great grip to any surface, so there is no need to worry about catching cables and making it slip off.
If your looking for a cheap, but good quality hard-drive with lots of space, this is it.

Max OSXOrdered two days ago on free delivery, arrived this morning marked next day. Ebuyer are brilliant when it comes to customer service focus.
Connected to my MacBook and immediately recognised it, asked me if I wanted to use as my Time Machine back up and got to work. (hey, that's how simple Apple is folks) ha ha.
Great build quality, silent, attractive and amazing value. What more do you want.
I also have a pocket size Western Digital I bought in the states and you can trust this brand as far as I am concerned.
Great Linux Support

LinuxWorked right out of the box with Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10) and Ubuntu Hardy (8.10). I reformatted it to EXT3 with no issues, currently being used as one of two backup disks. No problems so far, will be looking to buy a couple more of these soon!!!

Windows XPMy first one arrived DOA, E-Buyer tested it & replaced it. Dont be put off by that other online stores have rave reviews on this drive. Quiet, simple, efficient and looks good. What more do you want :)

a quiet enough drive (but not silent)
didnt like the fact that it doesnt have an on/off switch but iguess the auto shutoff sorta compensates for that
transfers went smooth n quik even over a network
wud recommend this drive to any1 lookin to back up their data
Superb Drive

Windows VistaThis really is a superb drive, I've been running it daily for months with no problems at all, silent and cool!
At first I was annoyed as there was no power switch but when you disconnect it from your PC, or shut your PC down, it auto-powers off!
Can't beat it.
