Quiet and classy PSU with all the connectors and 500Watts

I bought a couple of these, with one to replace a failed PSU in a friends super power hungry P4 pc, an old 400W PSU I had lying around only lasted 11 hours - so I thought I would spend out a bit in search of better value. This PSU did not dissapoint, it is whisper quiet in operation, delivers a pleasing LED blue glow for those that absolutely have to oggle the innards of their computer, and offers backwards and forwards compatibility regarding connectors. The 20/24 pin adapter separates so it is a breeze to use with older 20 pin motherboards.

So far the P4 rig from hell has not even managed to get it more than slightly warm after 24 hours of solid 3dmark hammering....and it turned up earlier than expected - I am delighted ebuyer is on the ball with delivery (and reasonable carriage charging).

Used this for my first build PC it is a very impressive power supply. A 12cm fan with LED is quite and there are ample 12 volt connectors, Sata power supply. Also the build quality is top notch, do not hestitate at this price. WELL RECOMMENDED!!!!

Could any body please supply me the dimensions of this unit?

The measurement I need is length from mains socket side across to the output leads side.

Nice

I bought this PSU as moneys tight and i knew it was going into a system that wouldn't stress it . The reveiws by others here on it's quietness swung it for me . Thanks . I can confirm that this is indeed a very quiet PSU and the blue led looks great .

One thing i'd like to mention though is that i feel this is a very light unit and i'd be concerned about straining it with a high end graphics card . I have Corsair & Coolermaster PSUs in my other systems and they are heavy by comparison . This is hardly scientific but you do get a certain amount of confidence when an item feels robust when you hold it .

Anyways enough about that , what counts here is the original reason for purchase and that was price and the fact that it was quiet too . On that basis i can't argue . The fact that it comes with a snazzy blue led is a bonus as it's going into a windowed case .

Excellent value for money .

Just replaced an old 400W with this thing, I cannot believe how quiet my machine now is! my processor cooling fan is an Akasa AK965. Nice blue glow from the LED too, not too bright, just right.

Nice PSU

This is a Casecom branded PSU (or at least the one I got was) and I think it is the same as the Silver Casesom 500W PSU found on ebuyer.

It has, thankfully, the white -5V cable connected to the main motherboard connector - a lot of PSUs don't these days, but in the fast moving world of computing these days, my motherboard is old, and needs it.

This PSU is very quiet. Much much quieter than my old "Magna" PSU which I bought from Maplin a few years ago for twice the price. In fact I never realised what a racket my primary hard disk made until now!
