This console offers a huge hardrive compared to the Premium version which is great as i dont have to worry about how much room demos, movies, videos etc are taking up. Also, a HDMI connection is included - a great feature seeing as I have a HD TV.
A huge arrray of great games are already out and this upcoming christmas period is just amazing: with games such as Halo 3, Assasins Creed, Mass Effect, Project Gotham Racing 4, FIFA, Burnout, Call of Duty 4, Half Life: Orange box...the list continues. You really will have a great time.
One of the best things i enjoy is xbox live which allows you to play online with your mates and anyone from around the world! Its so much fun i cant get enough of it.
You really cant go wrong with this purchase. Xbox live, great games for all ages, xbox live marketplace and arcade adds up to a very impressive machine
Xbox 360 Black
This Console is just the xbox 360 in black with 120GB hard drive and extras, but if your wiling to pay that extra money then go ahead and do that, i did and i love it. I had Xbox 360 normal but i sold my old one and now have new black one!!!!
Worth the extra money

Not ApplicableI have owned the Elite system for a few months now and the extra money is worth it in my opinion.
Especially as you can download HD movies from the Xbox Live Marketplace from 11th dec 07 onwards.
Also you can now downlaod original xbox games to the hard drive and play them without a disc, there are some classic games that are avilable now with more released each week.
Generally with the xbox360 there are so many 90% + rated games available anyone will be spoilt for choice..enjoy!

Not ApplicableWhat can be said that has not already been said, The addition of the Elite and the new HDMI connection ensures that those fortunate enough to have a 1080p television will recieve games in the full glory, the colours are crisper and brighter with the hdmi over the standard component cable,
The 120 gb hard drive ensures that the ability to save games play demo`s and just launced the download of HD (high def) movies can be stored on your Hard drive means it will be a long time before it is full, I personally dont see the need for such a large drive but im sure others will.
Is this better than the PS3. ????
I have played both and there is a wider selection of games for the 360 but if your big into your Movies the Blueray player built into the ps3 is a bonus, that siad you can buy an HD DVD add on for the 360 and play HD Movies, I think i would still stick with the 360 but thats my humble opinion.

Superb Graphics...

Not ApplicableI purchased this for my kids and also got some games to keep them busy. The games I got were all 1080p type new ones and I have got to say that the quality of the graphics is quite incredible. I have a 1080p 46 inch tv and this does the system a good service. The graphics are crystal clear. The only negative I can think of ( and it's no great shame ) The fans a little noisy. I must say though that as long as it keeps the system cool, I couldn't really care less. I would recommend one of these if you are looking for a games console. There are a lot of really good games to buy out there aswell.

Not ApplicableIf you want a great gaming experience you need to buy the elite its absoulutely amazing. great graphics. there is just one problem its quite noisy but when your playing your game you don't really notice it.

i know it may have no motion sensors in the controller and it doesn't play blu-ray... yet,
but the 360 makes up for it.
oh yes!
to start with, this is superior to the other 360's, the 120gb hard drive makes sure of this, let lone the cool black noir finish and hd/hdmi connectivity.
Then there's xbox live...
if you're planning on getting a 360 and not getting xbox live i would strongly suggest re-thinking as it offers by far the best online experience, allowing you to chat with people you have played, send messages, enter video calls and keep up to date with what games they are playing and when they are online.
i would recommend getting the elite, as its well worth extra money, looks cool, and with the free stuff you get with it (make sure to get some sort of game package) the elite is surely the way forward in class gaming.
one thing that i feel Microsoft have missed out in this console and should have dealt with is the noise it makes (around the same as an average P.C)

Windows VistaThis is not just "a black 360" inside it's quite a different animal, new improved chipset, new improved firmware. Basically the only similarity is the shape.
I have owned one of these for a few months now after upgrading from a Premium, it is far superior in every way. The games load quicker, the graphics are second to none on the HD tv through the HDMI connection. As before mentioned the cooling fans are better too, you can't even hear its running most of the time.
Overall the Elite is a quality console and very good value for money.

Windows VistaPay the extra money for the 120Gb hard drive.
I have had my Elite for over a year and it has been flawless. But what sets it aside now is the new Xbox dashboard. This now allows you to install any of your games onto the hard drive. Once installed you only need the original game disk in the DVD tray for copy protection and then it will load the rest from the hard drive. The result is faster load times and quieter running, no DVD drive whirring up to silly speeds! A game usually fills about 6Gb, so if you download HD movies as well you will soon fill it up. You can see why Microsoft ditched the 20Gb drive for the 60Gb now!
