Good, cheap card!

hdtach tells me the card manages a flat 7.1MB/sec transfer rate - which equates to the card being roughly 50x.

That's assuming my USB2 card reader isn't the bottleneck - it's el-cheapo, non-branded.

Still, even if this card is a mere 50x card, it's stonking value. The card works nicely in my Sony Alpha 200 camera, and for the money I think it deserves 6 stars out of 5.

If you need speed, look elsewhere. If your camera has a decent buffer like mine, grab this. Ok, you'll have to wait a few minutes to download all your photos once it's full, but unless you're a pro-photographer (in which case, why are you even reading this? Lexar 300x or Sandisk Extreme IV is for you, fella) or need more speed for your PDA for whatever reason (or you're making a hard disk out of one of these things) then get this card. Don't spend more unless you need *speed* - this is fast enough for most of us.

Good value but slow writing

Works well in my Olympus D/SLR but a bit slow writing, takes about twice the time of a Kingston 2GB 50x elite pro to write from the buffer to the card.
