The best price for these specs
review by: Kit Hounsell os: Windows XP

I do not yet own this card but I am strongly considering it. I thought i would write a comment highlighting some of its advantage and disadvantages.

Pros +
+ It has a 4mb cache (twice that of e4*** series)
+ It has a higher front bus speed that older e6*** processors
+ A fairly high clock speed
+ Currently the cheapest e6*** processor (9/8/07)

Cons -
This processor requires a motherboard that supports a 1333FBS. I strongly recommend an Aus P5N-E ( http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=125082 )

To conclude, I would strongly recommend this processor to anyone that wants a mid range core 2 duo that overclocks nicely.

If your into gaming and don't want to break the bank, this processor is for you, it will run any game smoothly for at least another 2 years.

This processor is good for office work too but using it only for that would be a waste, as you will not even be using half of one of its cores.

Amazing processor.

This processor would be a bargain at twice the price.

Using a decent motherboard you can effortlessly overclock this processor to 3Ghz per core, it doesn't even break a sweat. Using the supplied cooler and under full load the core temp did not break 45degrees.

Even at normal clock speeds this is a fast processor, but its overclocking potential gives it the edge.

Seriously recommend getting one.

Brought this processor with "100Asus P5N E SLI 650i Socket 775 PCI E" (Quickfid 125082)and I have to say its amazing, its got the fast bus speed and is cheaper then most of the core 2 duo's yes I did need to buy a new MOBO but I was going to buy a new one anyway, if you can afford both then do so, Haven't bothered trying to overclock this because you don't need to and IMO I wouldn't want to.

The Core 2 Duo to buy, screw anything better, I've got this running at 3GHz without a hitch, saves you 50 odd quid at least, I'm sure it could go higher :)

A very good cpu for the price. can be overclocked alot, though i havent bothered as there is no need. Much better then the equivalent AMD. Run really cool ( 30c idle and 40c load) with artic

7 cooler.

I however recommend you buy the E8xxx series because they have 6mb L2 cache and are 45nm.

But this is a great cpu aswell! :)
