stunned
os:
Windows XPAfter seeing these in person I immediately bought one from, much to my chagrin, from a large PC retailer somewhere in the World for substantially more than the Ebuyer price - oh for a walk-in Ebuyer store. Immediacy pulls the strings that run straight to my wallet.
Anyway, as an exigent diehard gamer with a small amount of knowledge (it's a dangerous thing) about screens thanks to long nights of Googling, I am genuinely stunned by this monitor. There was some talk of a level of colour and gamma variation from the different panels manufactured in different factories for the earlier models but they're all adjustable to the same calibration so it's rather a moot point, and I believe they're all the same now. I had a single dead pixel that was staying off which was soon remedied with a hearty flick. Perfect.
This is (almost) the ultimate gaming monitor for your average home user, bringing games to life and an exceptional level of realism to films; HD movies are presented breathtakingly. The 16:10 ratio is currently not a widescreen paradigm in gaming but most of the good engines have the capability to run to the native 1680x1050 without too much distortion, with the newer (and future) games including it as standard. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com has some valuable guides and information on configuring for widescreen aspects.
The response time is almost unbelievable at this price - absolutely no ghosting. Crystal clear pixel focus, good level of contrast, deep blacks, wide shade range, quick and accurate autosetup for VGA, huge range of adjustment for all applications, and to boot: a handsome item when in standby, small blue orb glowing (with variable LED brightness...).
The only slight compunction I have is the uniformity of the backlight but with a screen of this size it's never going to be perfect. When viewing a completely black screen from directly on there is a peak in luminosity around the lower quarter, but how often are you looking at a completely even-toned dark screen? In practical application it's completely imperceptible. The stated 170 degree viewing angle is somewhat optimistic but again, of little to no importance.
Reading other reviews I see others shared my difficulty in mounting the screen on the base - persevere. Tilt the monitor till it's almost perpendicular with the base and keep wiggling, it does go on, albeit with more force than with which one is comfortable.
Samsung have done well again. At this price you'd be a fool not to get one. A worthy upgrade that won't see peer for quite some time.
Excellent

Windows VistaJust received my 2232BW and am very pleased with it. No dead pixels, nice and bright, no ghosting effects in films or games. Absolutely perfect.
To be honest if I knew 22" would be this big I would have bought a smaller one. But I guess it'll have to do!
Comes with both VGA and DVI cables.
stunning piece of kit...

Oh my this a nice bit of kit
os:
Windows XPRight first the slight negatives more due to ebuyers listing errors than anything to do with the screen
Theres no Tv tunner of any kind
Theres no usb hub or anything usb related
Theres no component in or out
Theres also no wall mount mount in any shape or form
The screen its self is feature wise very similar to other samsung monitors it has analogue and Dvi connections with a nice button you press to select between the 2 which one u want to display thus enabling you to connect this to another pc or with the correct leads a 360 (vga lead) or other such device
The monitor its self is a master piece of design and looks stunning (basically the same as their very popular range of tvs)
The Picture is perfect I couldnt ask for better
Other people have mentioned the stand is tricky to install I simply just screwed the base to the pivot point thing put that on the floor then pushed the monitor down onto that using the whole body of the monitor and a bit of body weight and it popped straight into the ball like joint.. couldnt be easier its all as described in the instructions
All in all very happy with the product !!
Holy moley!

Windows VistaWell I was always a bit cautious of LCD screens, thinking that their brightness, contrast ratio and response time wouldn't live up to my 17" CRT.
Well I'm here now and i have to say... this monitor is amazing! Playing games at 1680*1050 really does make a difference!
Only quibble would be that its made from a softer plastic and looks very easy to scratch so if there are going to be kids near by you may want to look elsewhere!
The stand was no hassle with mine unlike other people i found that i pushed down, wiggled it a little from the left to the right (like the instructions said!) and in it went!
Best 220 i ever spent! (Next day del inc - got it when it was at 211!)
Fantastic monitor... but misleading description
os:
Windows XPFantastic monitor... *far far bigger* than I expected (it's like using your PC on a TV screen as opposed to a monitor!). This beast barely fits on my desk. The image on eBuyer makes it look so much smaller than it actually is (and is probably of a smaller non widescreen model?)
Installation is very awkward (attaching stand especially - requires a fair bit of force which you feel may brake the product) and I've not been able to configure digital output properly yet (stuck with standard output for now). The instructions/manual is poor too.
Unfortunatly eBuyer's description of this item is misleading - there is *no tv tuner* built into this model, neither are there any built in speakers, and i dont believe it is wall mountable - the description on eBuyer is for a different model (but similar specs). PFFT to eBuyer.
Unbelievable Monitor, Unbelievable Service
os:
Windows XPThis is the first time I have thought a product and service was worth writing about, firstly having ordered the monitor to replace an old 19 inch view sonic with more dead pixels than I care to mention, the Samsung Pebble SM2232BW arrived within 14 hours. I then discovered that it was not wall mountable! My own fault for not reading the reviews thoroughly, having opened the box and seen the monitor I thought this looks fantastic what the heck give it a go!
Best decision I have ever made well worth the 220.00 pounds, the response is unbelievable no ghosting and what a difference to films I put on an action film, IT SPRANG FROM THE SCREEN I can now sit in a comfortable chair and watch movies instead of sitting on top of the monitor, good news while the wife insists on watching the Jungle Im a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and The X Factor.
I then checked for dead Pixels it had 1, something you have to expect but I tried my luck and requested the monitor changed an easy process all done online.
The monitor was picked up the following day, on the third day I received an email saying that their engineers had checked the monitor and a new monitor was on its way to me, on the fourth day my new monitor arrived not a dead pixel in sight. What a fantastic and quick service with no extra charge for the carriage.
Reading other reviews I see some have difficulty in mounting the screen onto the base - persevere. Personally I did not have a problem Tilt the monitor till it's almost perpendicular with the base and keep wiggling, it does go on smoothly, so smoothly I did not realize it was on until I lifted the monitor to see if everything was OK.
First class monitor and a first class service you can bet I will be ordering other items.
It's a winner

Windows VistaVery sleek indeed. This monitor is outstanding. No dead pixels and looks stunning On and Off! The size is adequate enough to read two web pages side-by-side. I've just play a HD movie clip and that too looks stunning. Software and drivers included. Fixing the stand to the monitor requires a little pressure and boldness but we got there. Hope this helps you guys.
Outstanding and space saver

Windows XPUsing a Hansol 920P (19") for last few years and had no intentions of upgrading, saw a friends running Call of Duty 4 demo and I was hooked.
Item was delivered and I was a little upset to see how small the package was (had bought a 36" TV a few weeks before), once opened it was a different story.
It was a breeze to fit together and Windows found it instantly, I did install drivers and software from the supplied disk, but i eventually went to the official site and got the latest on offer, it did make a difference.
Game play is brilliant, took me some time to configure Battlefield 2142 at 1650, but a quick google and it was sorted.
Call of Duty 2 looks great in 1650 mode, but my graphics card now needs to be updated (AGP x850XT 512 @ present)
Overall it great with so much space saved I can now get more coffee and food on my pc desk :D
Awesome

Not ApplicableThe monitor has been with me a day now, the picture is crisp and there are no dead pixels.
Have connected it to an Xbox 360 which it runs at 720p and to pc laptop via VGA connection and an apple laptop via DVI. Easy setup and great picture quality.
Bought mainly to be used instead of a tv for Xbox360 gaming and it ceartainly fits the bill giving awesome visuals in Halo 3 and PGR4.
