Great PSU

Bought this to replace a noisy OCZ StealthXstream 600W which unfortunately had a faulty fan controller which always ran at full speed.

This Antec is very well made, runs very stable i.e. little fluctation in voltage output on all rails and is very quiet. The modular cable feature is a good idea too.
Those who have transparent cases will also like the blue LED. Nothing to fault on this great PSU.

Fanatastic PSU! Very very quiet and is certified by ATI to power my HD 2900XT GPU as his both the 6 and the 6+2 PCI-E connectors. Modular connections appear to be solid as a rock. Highly rate this model for price and outstanding build quality!!! Very happy with my purchase.

A very high quality powerful quiet PSU

Very powerful and stable PSU with the added bonus of being modular.

20/24 pin mains, 4/8 pin +12v, 6 +2 pin PCI-E are direct connected. Then a selection of modular cables inc. Molex, SATA and PCI-E.

I have the PSU housed in a SilverStone 'SUGO' and it helps keep the whole unit powered quietly.

Noisy? - Could be duff unit?

Hey all, I got one of these lovely looking PSUs but when I hooked it up alone to my PSU tester I was very suprised by the noise coming from the 120mm fan. I carefully slowed the fan down by using the long bristles of a new paint brush and the noise went away? Hard to describe with words but there was a combination of rattling mixed with a deep groaning kinda (lol).

I've not read about anyone else having a problem with this so more than likely I just got a duff unit
Anyway eBuyer RMA'ed it no problem and I now have a Corsair HX620W. . . .very nice (and its quiet!).

If my Blue Neopower 650W Modular had been quiet then I would have given it five stars but it loses a point because the fan was faulty.

Rails
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

This PSU has 3 x 12v rails (19A each) which I believe is the same as the TruePower. It also has a quiet 120mm fan. Antec don't have much detail on their site yet but you can take a look on:
http://www.antec.com/uk/productDetails.php?ProdID=05651

In terms of power output I suspect it will be the same as the TruePower in all areas but have not compared specs side by side or seen a review. Being that this neopower is a newer model it may use new and upgraded components.

Question?
review by: Matthew Young os: Not Applicable

I'm considering getting this to go with a Core Duo Intel, is it as good as the Antec TruePower Trio 650W PSU - With 3x 12v Rails and 120mm Fan???

This one has modular cables so would be better if they're identical in every other way
