Awesome TomTom features on this newbie
Had this unit for a couple of days, bought it for use in my truck, what can I say apart from its the bees knees. There are many Nav units to choose from but this one is the best ive tried. So relaxing, just sit back and enjoy the drive, the computer voices are best because they state road names and tell you which signs to follow. The bluetooth connection works great with my phone and the FM transmitter transfers the sound to the audio system in the truck. Hands free voice command feature also works really well. No glitches so far, well impressed!!

Good piece of kit

Windows VistaI've had TOMTOM's for along time, and this is the best unit yet. My first unit however had faulty bluetooth handfree calling and the mic packed up.
Returned and replaced the units and now its fine. Google for the 720 and you'll find a host of issue's with these's units, mainly the 2 i've mentioned, but apart from that it works ok.
5 stars even though I've had problems. I don't ebuyer is at fault with manufacturers issues.
excellent product & service

Windows XPReceived my first 720 2 weeks ago, very pleased with it but hands free bluetooth suffered from very poor reception. Returned & replaced, now seems fine.
Delighted with the service from e-buyer, no quibbles & rapid pickup & return
Tomtom 920t

Windows VistaBy-far the best satnav on the market today and most probebly for the forseable furure. no problems at all.
Tom Tom Go 720
os:
Windows XPI have found the Go 720 to be of satisfactory speed and effectiveness although I cannot use it in the car because the newly developed windshield mount will not adhere to the windshield for more than an hour without detaching and risking damage to my Go 720.The windshield mount is not at all serving the purpose for which it was intended and is of extremely poor design. Whereas the Go 710 mount had a screw and fit succion cup, the 720 relies on the user being able to force the cup onto the winshield and hope and prey that it does not fall off. My wife cannot get it to stay on the windshield for more than two seconds. As good as the Go 710 mount was, so the Go 720 mount is a disaster.
Good, but don't update it, and watch out for the pricey upgrades!
os:
Windows XPGreat out of the box apart from the speed camera warning which is very patchy. Bluetooth works Well, the interface, instructions and maps clear and acurate.
However when updating using the supplied software the unit hard-disk corrupted. TomTom suggested replacing the unit. This was done but the problem reccured on updating again. TomTom contacted again. Same help offered. Now on third unit, just dare not update it. Since looked online and found many others with same problem, and same level of help, (or rather lack of) from TomTom.
A final gripe, the unit is marketed as having Fm live traffic warnings and cameras updates. This is true if you spend a further 70ukp on the fm aerial, and subscribe to the expensive TomTom updates for Speed Cameras, maps and trafic warnings. Even a carry pouch is 20ukp.
