Love It

I love this phone. Its compact, stylish, and full of features. The sync-ing with my PC is great, and there are some really good features, such as the ability to automatically switch to Silent mode when the calendar recognises you as busy.

The battery life is great, I'm on O2 with no problems.

Be warned: Texts will not send if stored in your phonebook with brackets. Simply remove the brackets and all will be fine (spaces are fine).

Contacts' pictures are displayed when they call you, the installed ringtones are fine, there are plenty of programs and it comes with 4 free ipaqchoice points.

Headphone Specs and Outlook sync
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

The output jack on this phone is a 2.5mm socket, and the unit ships with a set of earbuds + mic handsfree kit that fits this.

To convert to a regular socket you'll need an adapter "2.5mm 4-Pole Plug to 3.5mm Stereo Socket". eBuyer don't seem to carry this currently but I think Maplin might do.

The phone syncs with an exchange server in 'push' mode, but can also interface with a full version of outlook for regular calender mail synchronisation.

Also if you're considering this phone, you'll really want to pick up a 2Gb MicroSD card to go with it, as it makes it much more flexible as a portable entertainment device.

Cheap way to get a smart phone

I've had one of these for about 9 months now, and its really quite good. only let down by the small screen, (but for the price!). i always wanted a windows mobile phone with wifi, so that emails can be downloaded and kept on the phone for referencing later. with mobile office makes it all very easy. very durable (i have dropped it many times onto hard floors and is fine!)

Value Windows Mobile

This is an excellent handset for anyone looking for a simple windows mobile, but shows up it's failings if pushed hard.

Positives:

I use mine to sync at work to both desktop and exchange, and it works perfectly.

CoPilot Live 7 works very well with an external GPS receiver.

Good battery life.

Good Sound through headphones

Very durable, and well made, but same old issue with dust under the screen cover.

Negatives:

Poor screen resolution compared to others, my old Orange SPV600 was miles better.

Data connection struggle to make up their mind which to use, don't assume that Wifi will be used just because it is on.

On Orange, voice message notification does not work properly, but there are fixes available online.

All in all I like it but will look for a better screen when it is replaced.

Not bad for the price
review by: Anonymous os: Other

For the price this is not a bad phone, with the size of the screen etc utilities such as office on there aren't really that practical to use for anything other than a quick glance at an existing document, you certainly wouldn't want to be editing or creating a document using the phone.

Battery life was a problem, the battery would be fully charged and then overnight just die, new firmware and a battery drain patch from the HP website seems to have resolved that issue now and the battery lasts a reasonable amount of time.
