Tom Tom One V3 - Europe

Max OSXHad mine a couple of weeks now. Plugged in to Tom Tom Home and upgraded to the latest maps without any bother. Had an original One for two + years, nothing wrong with that but the offer for the Europe maps for the same price as the UK ws too much to resist!
Love it but no SD slot
Just bought a Tom Tom One V3 Europe and was very suprised to find that it didn't have an SD slot for memory expansion (my other Tom Tom ONE has one)
The V3 Europe does have 1gig built in but shows only 8mb free space because of the mapping etc that is already installed.
Now comes the problem!
I tried to update but it said that there wasn't sufficient space! WHAT! brand new unit piggin ell
Anyway I eventually got around the problem by deleting the old application software first, then replacing the application software for the updated version but to be honest this is a bit of a leap of faith and you shouldn't have to do it this way.
Now I'm worried because it would seem that I'm going to have similar problems in the future and with just 8mb free space and no addon slot it really limits for additional mapping etc unless I start deleting things.
I suppose I could get rid of other languages and voices but the point is...and in my opinion... there should be more free space from new to accomodate future updates especially as the memory size is fixed and cannot be added to.
Despite this issue I still think that this unit is excellent, just wish it had a little more space in reserve.

Windows XPI bought this product online on thursday night and it was delivered on monday morning at 10:30am free of charge, great work citylink. Performance wise it's great, it doesn't freeze, gives clear and concise instructions, has loads of options such as setting a max speed, map colour, etc. One problem it does have though is if you take a wrong turn it likes to ask you to turn around which can be quite difficult and when i decided to ignore this instruction it sent me down a long street which led to a dead end, i think it was getting revenge on me. In concluson its a great product from tomtom and a great price from ebuyer, not perfect by any means but very very close.
