Great piece of kit

Received this today, extremely easy to setup, and works amazingly well! I couldn't pick up my wireless network at all, plug this in and I've suddenly got average signal of the network, and no drop-outs yet!

Highly recommended.

I got one of these a few days ago to give it a try. Installs very easy, so good for anyone with very limited knowlage. It does the job. Gives my network an extra 10-15mtrs at 54Mb. Simple, cheep and works.

I bought two of these to wirelessly connect my sisters house (a few doors away on a terrace street) to my network.

Although the wireless signal is almost always visible now its very low (1 out of 5 bars) and still drops occasionaly.

This will probly do great for providing a signal throughout a single house, but for extending the wireless network beyond the outside walls forget about it and get something with a bit more umph.

It is a tidy unit and the provided cable and cable convertor should provide more than enought lenght for most needs.

4 out of 5 stars as its a good product but insufficient for my needs.

Worth the money (but that doesn't mean its that good)

I find that in my house my wireless network is very inconsistent - within the same room I can get great variances from one spot to another just feet away. My hope was that this antenna may help solve that problem.

It has not done that, and in the areas in my house where I used to get poor signal strength I still get poor signal strength.

However in the places that I got good signal, it has become even better. I would say that the improvement has been by about one bar of signal (out of five).

If you are looking for something cheap to help your network, then give this a go. But don't expect it to completely transform anything.

Varying signal Around a room
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

The variations in signal strenght is to do with the position of the router and how the radio waves reflect in a room. A new aerial will not change this.

Channel

Try changing the wireless channel on the router 1-13 (you should have documents how to do this) to find the best signal-you will be suprised!
