Good future proof Mobo

Windows VistaBought this product at a slightly higher price. Had no problems with the install. Has nice jumper headers to easily set up your power, reset switches etc which i thought was good. Have this running with a Q6600 at 3.2Ghz. Runs stable and cool. Overall very pleased with this product. 5 Stars
Easy install

Windows XPI am a newbie and i have taught myself how to build pc's by asking questions on forums, reading pc mags etc.
I had the brilliant asus p4c 800 e deluxe i have now aquired the P5KC and it is a piece of cake to install.
I have had no problems booting up, works with my e6850 and corsair ram very smoothly.
If you are a newbie or a die hard pc geek i would not hesitate in buying this board.

got this board for a new build and very happy with it so far .board lay out good and no probs that i really came accross when installing except had to update bios to unlock full power of the cpu E8200 2.67ghz it worked fine just could not get the cpu full power nor show in the bios . but asus update tool soon sorted that allso excepts ddr3 and ddr2 ..

Highly recommended for anyone in the market for a stable board for overclocking, or future proofing for when DDR3 becomes affordable!!
The only annoying thing is the omission of a 2nd IDE channel and also the positioning of the IDE slot. As mentioned in previous comments/reviews it's positioned right at the bottom of the board so you need a LONG cable if you need it to reach your DVD/CD drives.
Also if like me you ideally need 2 IDE channels, as you have both HDs and DVD/CDs that aren't SATA, then try Quickfind 124850. Works a treat!

Windows XPThis is a great mobo, i have the Q6600 with the Artic freezer 7 pro bundle that was on offer along with 2 gig of corsair 800mhz and it flys...BUT.
I have had to buy a couple of the IDE - SATA adapters that are on here (q/f 124850). one is fitted on my 2nd HDD used purely for data storage not booting etc. the other is on my ASUS dvd drive, this is the one that giving me problems as whenever i load a disk in the HDD light stays on constant until i take the disc back out(starts to hang!!)...have any of you that already have it had the same problem and know how to fix.
My hardware is...
Western digital 250gb SATA HDD on SATA 1(with XP on)
Western digital 80gb on SATA 4 (using the dongle IDE - SATA).
ASUS DVD Rom on SATA 3 (using the IDE - SATA Dongle.
2 Pioneer 111's connected via the IDE socket.
Any help would be greatful folks. This is an excellent mobo for the price

Windows VistaIt's a fantastic motherboard i have it with a core 2 duo 4500 and have managed to overclock to 3.1ghz! Basically it's great for overclocking and well everything also runs very cool

Windows VistaI used this board in my very first self build and what a joy it was, installed in the case with no problems, installed the CPU Intel E8400 and ready pasted heat sink sooo simple just remember to take off the CPU cover as well as the Mobo CPU cover. The only fly in the ointment is the software called probe 2, it installs a program called "cneter" google this and read the results, but despite this an incredible Mobo and very much recommended. And last but not least thank you ebuyer, your service is truly second to none, VERY well done!

I have rebuilt my pc using this board.
6 weeks 7 days a week 12 hrs a day and this motherboard has been rock solid.
DDR3 option is available so it is future proof.
If you are going to build a pc and want reliabilty and simplicity for installing--get you credit card out and buy.
