You get what you pay for

As always these arrived in perfect condition and on time, which is why I have used Ebuyer for over 10 years.

I opened the box to find impeccably packed items and not a scrap of polystyrene in sight. All I was left with when I had put the card into the recycle was a few poly bags and these I gave to my friends baby to play with...yeah ok kidding, she's not a baby she's 3.

My initial reaction to the looks of the speakers and the cabling was positive, very easy to wire and plenty of cable for what I needed.

I connected everything together and plugged my ipod in with the 3.5 jack plug.

I intended these speakers as bedroom speakers for the mp3 player or laptop and because I have a set of Creative Cambridge Soundworks 4.1 speakers I expected good things.

Sadly, they are 18 quids worth of speakers. The bass cut off is very low and doesn't deliver the punching or rumbling I would have liked. The satellite speakers lack top end definition, a little woolly I would say, hi's are Ok but between the fair mid range and the top is a gap that leaves you feeling a bit cheated.

I opted to set these speakers up in my workshop, which is 85sq metres and they deliver a fair sound over the general buzz of tools. The bass is improved by being sat in an alcove on a 6x3 sheet of ply which creates some amplification.

I would say these will disappoint if you want to watch DVD or play action games, but for general use on a PC they will satisfy most needs.



Do yourself a favour and spend a few extra quid unless you want an average quality product at a very fair price.
