Much more than just 2.0
os:
Windows VistaI've used a Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker Setup for the last two years, but as I have a shared house and mostly use them for listening to music at my desk (as opposed to something that requires the entire room to vibrate, like watching a loud movie), I decided to try a 2.0 setup.
PROS:
I was initially hesitant, thinking I'd lose some of the immersion and quality that you get from 5.1, but am so glad I bought these, as they are more than capable of doing everything I could need them to do (from a low-level volume listening to music, to a high-level sitting on my bed watching movies). The quality is crystal clear.
Calling these 2.0 speakers does not do them justice, as they are superior to a lot of 5.1 systems, and still capable of delivering a considerable bass. Larger than I expected (they are 12" high), but this is just a sign of how much good stuff is packed in there. Highly recommended.
CONS:
Very few, but they are worth mentioning:
1) When you receive the box, you will immediately notice how heavy it is. The majority of this weight is not the speakers; it's the AC Adapter - the thing weighs a ton!
Now, that in itself shouldn't be a problem, but the way it has been designed means that - while the cable length from the right speaker to the plug socket is fine - the length from the speaker to the AC Adapter is very, very short. Essentially this means that the AC Adapter will likely have to sit on your desk, and not the floor. I have tucked mine behind my monitor.
2) As with most speakers, they are annoyingly designed with the assumption that your computer is on the right-hand side of your desk. If it isn't, you may not have much flexibility in positioning your right speaker.
3) More of a tip than a criticism. The instructions tell you to plug the speakers in the port furthest to the left. I have an X-Fi soundcard and found this wasn't the case: I needed to plug it in the third port. So if you can't get them to play, try plugging it into every audio port until you hit the right one.
Despite these criticisms, I still give it five stars because I am happy with my purchase.

Not ApplicableI took the plunge and ordered a pair of these over the T20's (which get awesome reviews) as these are fairly new and there is very little press coverage on them. Anyway my pair arrived off ebuyer very quickly using free delivery but sadly when I plugged them all in the right speaker sounded like a very tinny pair of headphones - no bass at all! Left speaker sounded fine however.
After contemplating whether to RMA them or not (the included power adapter and combined weight of the speakers is VERY heavy) I decided to open them up and take a look inside. To my complete surprise there were 2 disconnected cables which had clearly come loose. They had been fastened to the top cone via small metal tabs which are very loose when connected. After reconnecting the wires the speakers are working great!
I think this may be a common fault with this model of speakers as the metal tabs on the bottom speaker are also very loose and could have easily have become disconnected too. I have contacted ebuyer regarding this matter as I can foresee many complaints coming in!
On the brighter side, fantastic sound when they are working. The bass is amazing and combined with good quality MP3's you can really hear the difference over a cheap pair of speakers!
Pretty decent

Max OSXI have been using these speakers for a couple of weeks now and to be honest I'm not sure about them.
Overall they seem a competent setup, very clear, good imaging, and especially good with films and the like. They are the most 'hi-fi' desktop speakers I have herd.
The thing that gets my goat is the way they enhance the bass frequency's which with some music sounds weird, certain tones resonate like crazy and actually drill your ears and head. Its a strange phenonomon and it really lets these speakers down with the few songs that it occurs on. Also the midrange (vocals especially) sounds over pronounced on some tracks - again it seems to only be with certain music, mostly stuff like Thin Lizzy and Jimmy Hendrix etc.
These speakers are a compromise, they are still decent value for money as you would have trouble picking up a proper amp and speaker setup for 70. They produce a great level of bass, I used to have a 2.1 setup and don't miss the sub and love the extra room on the floor next to my desk! Having the posts on the top of the cabinet makes them work well anywhere - near walls and in corners.
In terms of build quality there is nothing to really complain about, only the speaker grill plugs come out of the cabinet, you just put them back in but its naff that they aren't glued in. The audio leads between them are suitably thick and look purposeful - if ever a cable could? They look like you've spent 70 on a set of desktop speakers!
I have about 2.5k worth of audio gear in the living room, sitting at my Mac with the Creatives isn't a big let down so that must be praise enough for them, just don't expect the world
