Demon little box
os:
Windows XPSet up in very short order.
Have connected 2 laptops - using a Belkin F5D7010 PCMCIA card in each case.
Ramge and signal quality is fine. I have reduced 'transmit power' - see the menu option 'WLAN - Advanced' - to 60% to help ensure heat output is minimised.
Lets hope and see if the hardware continues to perform over the coming months and years.
One small point - the product description says 'ADSL2+ router' fine; if you know or asume that the ADSL2+ bit means it has a built-in modem - its not immediately obvious, nor is it clear on the www.tenda.cn website either - see their product ref TWL548D.
For info - drivers, manuals etc. etc. are available from this site just use the TWL548D code as the site search key.

Not ApplicableThere was a discussion about these over here:
http://www.routertech.org/viewtopic.php?p=25639
I got one and it performs pretty much identically to the Netgear DG834GT, which should not be too much of a surprise as they are both based on the same chipset. I was recently given a netgear because the wireless had stopped working, which turned out to be the mini PCI wireless card inside it needed re-seating. This can't happen with this router, so it should be more reliable at least for that type of fault. Mount it on a wall for best heat dissipation though.
Just for a laugh I plugged the USB port into a linux box, and it was recognised as a standard usb ethernet adapter and connected. Nice. Had to use Opera to configure it from linux though.
Star rating is for value for money.
Cheap but good...

Not ApplicableBought this to do an install in a customers house. Was concerned about what I was going to get for the price but pleasantly surprised.
Nice piece of kit, well built, looks like it should cost more.
Easy to set up... really easy. Literally 3 mins from start to being connected.
Only drawback... doesn't provide wireless encryption above WEP but apart from that I can't fault it.
Nice router

Windows XPJust installed one of these on a Virgin Media (BT Line) DSL connection - works no probs.
Was a bit techie to set up cos the "select country" and "select ISP" drop downs were blank, so had to enter VPI/VCI & Protocol by hand (0/38 & PPPoA), but not too bad with their wizard, other than that works lovely - much faster than the conexant based router it replaced.
This one does do better wireless encryption than WEP - I have it on WPA/SPK - what you would normally want for home use - again had to set all this by hand, so a bit techie.
Its in a modern "barrett home" with walls of paper, so can't comment on range, I'm 5 yrds away in the next room and get full signal :)
I'm remote working and the PPTP over NAT works fine.
excellent for the money

Windows Vistai bought one of these routers the other week an it is absolutely brilliant to use as for the user trying to set it up for talk talk start up the command as administrator then copy and paste this script to the command prompt netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=1400 store=persistent press enter restart your router and your pc and try to see if can get into talk talk also make sure your vpi is 0 and vci is 38 and ppoa

LinuxArrived today, very easy to set up on my Kubuntu linux system. Ran a speedtest and very surprised to find a huge increase in speed (up and down) over my old Origo Router.
Will it work with Vista?
Yes it will, you dont use drivers on a wireless adsl router, just a browser page (IE or mozilla etc)
So will and does work beautifully
cheers

An absolute bargain!
Ordered this Tue lunchtime and it arrived 10:00am Wed - great service! This product is an absolute bargain at this price. I was very impressed with the way the item was packaged and was up and running within 15mins (I do have prior knowledge of wireless routers though). That said, the product is straight-forward enough and does have a 'wizzard' routine for those less experienced users. Can't praise it enough, get one before the price goes up!
Superb value
Very pleased with my purchase. One thing I've found is the WDS does not work when the mac address option is enabled.
Leaving it disabled allows this to connect perfectly to a Buffalo HP-G54 running ddwrt firmware with WPA-AES encryption.
Highly recommended.
