Product Reviews
so far so good
Bought this to replace a 10 yo Epson printer and 5 yo Canon scanner.
It's not cheap but has a lot of features.
It took me a few hours to set up and get it all working, so allow plenty of time.
Print quality on colour documents is good, it's quite quiet, faxing works well.
I have it connected to my LAN and this works quite well.
Time will tell how reliable it is and how high the print costs are.
NB. You need ot have either a USB cable or a LAn cable, it doesn't come with either.
Impressed

Not ApplicableNo problems thus far with the printer. rather impressed in fact. printing is fast and of pretty good quality.
Solid build - no doubt about that.
Just a couple of fax issues. I think it's because i've got the phone connected through a splitter rather than into the fax first. would anyone have any suggestions as to how i could set it up?
Very Impressed
os:
Windows XPI purchased this printer last week, I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but with the Canon cashback it seemed to be offering really good value for money.
This little printer is fab! Scan's great, the fax is great, the printer is really good quality and much quicker than I anticipated. Took a little while to set up but it is worth following the instructions carefully as I think that some of the other issues might have been because you must not use a telephone line splitter with this printer, it comes with a cable for your telephone to plug directly into the printer so that the printer is plugged into the telephone line and the phone is into the printer thus you don't need to split the telephone socket.
I think it is great!
Excellent All-In-One with Fax & Network
os:
Windows XPI have installed two of these for customers and they are an excellent solution especially as it has network functionality. Canon have had their head in the sand regarding networking their printers and they have finally brought one out and it works well. It does take some time to setup and there are lots of options you need to set up like the IP address, fax id's and station name, etc.
Excellent in all aspects.
Canon Rebates don't happen
I'm very happy with the printer i'ts great.
However , I bought it with a rebate offer of forty pounds. I Filled out all the forms correctly and sent away but never received any cash back or even notification!
After checking the net - I've come to realise i'm not the first person this has happened with.
So in short - don't trust canon rebates they won't be received.
Unforgiveable fax issues!
os:
Windows XPHad a previous Canon printer which I loved, but this one although good in most departments, does have a fatal flaw. The fax tone occasionally comes on when receiving voice calls (even though the machine is in Telephone priority mode). Searched the web about this and have seen that other people have also had the same issue..
Recommend you avoid this model till Canon sort out the issue!
Have contacted Canon, who simply suggesting returning the unit to Ebuyer! Hope ebuyer give me a full refund soon as will be without a printer till this is resolved. Will maybe go for an Epsom from ebuyer next ....
