Amazing value
os:
Not ApplicableCan't fault this little switch. Has a metal case and feels about the same size and weight as a pix 501. Power is from a wall wart plug supply. Ports seem to auto sense speed etc without issue.
Excellent Switch Great Price
os:
Windows XPThis is an excellent switch, at a reasonable price, i have the 5 port and 8 port version and you can notice the speed difference from 100Mbps. I highly recommend this switch to upgrade your network
Speed Test
os:
LinuxI did some iperf tests with 2 computers with gigabit NICs, these were the results. The first set were through my old Cisco 100Mbps switch and then the new Plexus Gigabit Switch, as you can see, its hardly 1 Gigabit a second. Reaching a MAX of 221Mbps
Allthough i ran the test again with the PC's back-to-back and the speed only came out at 230Mbps. So it seems astho the NICs are to blame. But the switch still isnt "wirespeed" as it claims
Cisco Switch at 100Mbps
