Does what it says on the tin, what more can you ask for, jumbo frames 7 not 9, go and download the latest realtek drivers as XP won't load any as it doesn't know what type of card it is, my Server 2003 system knew it was a realtek chip straight away.

Very pleased with these cards, 5 pc's all gigabit cards now, purchased 3 of them, all running 1000mbps full duplex.

The drivers on the cd didn't work anyway so don't bother with them.

Realtek RTL 8169 driver here:-

No need to download drivers for Windows 7 (Build 7100)

Win 7 installed it as a Realtek NIC and found an update too.

Absolutely no problem with these cards!

Bought a few to update some PC's at work to 1GB. Windows XP Pro recognises card and installs Realtek drivers on Plug & Play - if it doesn't for any reason, install the NIC-T3 drivers off the supplied disc - or download direct from Realtek as per link above.

Great value - thanks Ebuyer!

A Brilliant NIC

Although it is a Tendy TEL 9901G. The actual chip is Realtek. Realtek PCI GBE Family, RTL8169SCL (marked on the chip). I have one on Win XP desktop and MS Server 2008 (uses vista kernel). Best to use the Realtek drivers from link given in these comments.

Even if Ms picks up the correct products, the Realtek drivers are later versions.

A great product and cheap. Have now updated all my pc's to work at 1Gb/s. Set up in minutes.

Works great on my hackintosh
review by: Bobby Found operating system: Mac OSX

I just popped this card into a spare PCI slot and started up OSX x86. This card does not need any modded drivers to run on my hackintosh. The OS installed it without user intervention. Drivers for your Mac are available if needed from the website or the supplied disc.

Setup trouble shooting.

operating system: Windows 2000

Bought two of these for a Windows XP and a Windows 2000 boxes.

WinXP installed fine from the drivers on the MiniCD, and negotiated to 1gb fine.

Win2000 would not load the suplied cd drivers, and blue screen when loading. SO don;t bother installing them.

Use the realtek drivers instead. These installl fine.

Initially ha a problem with the card negotiating to 1GB, but I uninstalled the card in Device manager, then ran detenct hardware changes it redecteded it and it came up as 1GB.

Works well but I can't seem to get the Wake on lan working with any of the drivers I have found. If I select some options like Magic packet AND pattern match the pc restarts instead of shutting down - any ideas to get Wak On Lan working?

Cheap but no joy
review by: Anonymous rating:

Hardware: blister packed, no brand.

Driver on a mini-CD, doesn't appear to have a web site for download.

Installed from the CD no problem, did all the usual DHCP etc etc.

But no gigabit, only 100Mb. Windows thinks it is working at 100, and the switch (a lovely Netgear 8 port gigabit, I recommend) also thinks it is working at 100, so I guess it is.

The Windows system driver update identifies the card as a Realtek RTL8169/8110, and downloads a driver - but this also runs at 100Mb, even when forced in the driver setup to use 1.0Gb instead of auto negotiation.

I haven't yet got round to swapping out wires etc, but the Cat6 cable was also brand new. Haven't really investigated whether Realtek have any known bugs either.

I'm giving it two stars as the 10/100 does work, and it is so cheap it isn't worth the postage and hassle to return it.
