Superb Memory
os:
Windows XPOroginally bought some cheap 2G modules, which would cause the system to not even boot up !!! very annoying
Then acquired 8G of this OCZ memory.Bought 4 of these ( 8GB ). plugged the 4 sticks into mobo and everything works just fine, and has continued to work brilliantly for over 4 months now . Just what is required - plug and play
Excellent value product
Crossfire
is this crossfire compatible?
With Vista 32bit
Does anyone know if Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit will recognise this memory fully and properly?
I've read different items on the net.
amazing!!
these sticks are amazing i bought them to replace the last set i bought from aria.co.uk that were faulty and what a difference they look really good and there stable p.s if you want 5-4-4-18 you have to have a mobo to support 2.1V but if not these will still work i have a 1.8V motherboard and the clocks are different but they are still really good and reliable.
p.s windows XP does support 4GB but its not officially 4GB its 3.5GB go to vista 64bit you cant go wrong supports up to 128GB memory. 5 stars!!
Great
os:
Windows XPGot this with a Q9450, P5Q Deluxe, runs flawlessly!
seems like good quality ram
os:
Windows Vistahad this ram 2 days now and it seems like good quality sticks, temperature is lower than what i replaced with it so the heat spreaders are doing what they are supposed to.
bought to replace 4x1gb sticks that were slower, with the aim to get another set when i have the money along with 64-bit ultimate.
so far have had a few problems getting the voltage and the timings right, had the system hang a few times, but that is my fault, not the ram. i will get it running eventually.
because of it not running at the right timings my vista score has only gone to 5.2 from 5.1 (all others are 5.9 except ram) what scores does everyone else achieve with this ram, preferrably without overclocking?
to those asking about 32-bit. yes 4gb is compatible, it will say you have 4gb (or more if u have other sticks in there) but it will not necesarilly use all 4gb, because 32-bit is capped at 4gb and u also need to take into account other memory like your graphics card.
usually will show about 3.2 to 3.5gb memory available.
Must buy! Great RAM!!
os:
Windows VistaOriginal system:
Asus Striker Extreme Mobo
Intel dual core 775
Gainward silent 8600GT
Corsair 800 mhz RAM 2g
Built this, lagged for ages, thought it was the Striker, Mobo, thing that it is.
Weeks of messing with it, purchased this RAM, all is good. I would wish to all this loverly RAM:-), especially with the Striker.
Go get it, and great service as always with Ebuyer.
Great performance and price
os:
Windows VistaThese have worked extremly well in a msi p45 platinum, only had them around a week but there great,if left to default bios settings in bios then windows gives them a rating of 5.2, now once you set your bios correctly these will then get a performance rating of 5.9, heres a link to the ocz page for these, you may notice they actually are quoted to run at 5-4-4-15 and not the 5-4-4-18 ebuyer has them down for http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_6400_vista_performance_platinum_4gb_dual_channel
"Crossfire or SLI " Branded RAM
When it comes to RAM, there is no such thing as "Crossfire or SLI". This is purely a marketing strategy to increase sales. Crossfire and SLI only have relevance to your Graphics card, aside from that there isn't any other component that needs to be branded "Crossfire or SLI".
The only other component that may need that certification is your PSU. That's only because many PSU's don't have the ability to run 2 or more GPU's, so branding them "Crossfire or SLI" would make life alot easier for those who don't know. However, even then it's not entirely necessary since you could work that out yourself if you know a thing or two about PSU's.
With Vista 32bit
As far as I am aware 32bit operating systems cannot "see" all 4Gb. If you install 4Gb, your 32-bit OS will only see about 3Gb.
You will need to use a 64-bit version of the OS AND have a suitable motherboard i.e one that can support 4Gb+ memory.
