absolutley brilliant i highly adivse that this player is great value for money if you buy this product you get a choice of avi converters to use

to correctly sync audio and video for music videos and films use avi converter 3.0 which is packaged with the player and set it to high quality this should ensure your audio and video syncronise. for the quality you would expect to spend a lot more. ok if you need more memory simply plug in a mini sd card you should get a few films, pics and lots of mp3 files on there.Ebuyer were very quick with delivery first rate i highly suggest using them GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PURCHASES I MALTBY.

Ok in answer to the questions first: Yes there is a power charger included. To tune into a radio station you MUST connect the headphones, this acts as an antenna (this means you cannot listen to radio on the speaker of course).

So this is a non-branded generic player from China, the back is i-pod style polished metal not plastic. Packaging is very nice with a magnetic flip open box. The unit looks great really stylish and no branding.

Picture quality is excellent and the speaker is great for the size of the unit.

Yes use avi convertor 3.0 but even low quality is fine for full length films and stays in sync (should be able to fit 3 films on the unit without adding extra storage at that level 1 1/2 at top quality).

Negatives: The instructions are gibberish, and the CD software is all over the place. This is a Rock Chip unit so use the software from that section. The button controls are NOT intuitive, but will be OK once you get used to how they work (this will take some considerable time but persevere).

IMPORTANT:

The headphone socket is a non-standard 2.5mm size so you will need an adaptor to use your own 3.5mm headphones which you really should!(amazon amongst others stock these).

AMAZING VALUE FOR MONEY, don't buy that overpriced Apple stuff this is just as good at a fraction of the cost.

I am getting some 2GB mini-sd cards to expand its capacity and swap media on the move, and ordering another one as a present.

If anyone knows if this takes SDHC mini cards (i.e. capacities over 2GB please let me know by posting here)....

This is great value for money, the touch screen works well and has simple to use large icons on screen, you may need to use the stylus for volume if you have chunky fingers (my finger nail is good enough) but all others buttons are easy to hit!

I got this with a 2GB mini SD card and it worked straight away with no issues!

Screen quality is good and clear, the videos play without stuttering and the picture is bright and sharp!

All in all this is well worth the money!

Looks great and feels even better!

Just got this today, 2 days after ordering it!

The CD is seriously confusing (thanks to all you other guys for your instructions!), anyway as the title states this thing really looks good my only concern is the time it takes to convert a full film, anyone else had this problem?

Nice little unit. As good as my sons costing twice the money. Translation of manual a bit iffy, but apply a bit of thought and you can get through it. Well put together with a clear screen. If you wanted to be fussy, the sockets stick out from the case a tad, rather than being flush. If you want to expand the memory make sure its a MINI SD card not a micro. DOH! Superb service from e Buyer.

Anyone who is contemplating buying this neat little gadget but has a few questions, I hope this helps...

1. Although omitted from the photo gallery the player IS supplied with a charger exactly the same as the other models in the range i.e plug/usb cable.

2. The instructions are poorly translated but they're NOT that bad, and the player is very easy to use.

3.The aviconvertor on the CD supplied didn't work on my PC (Vista O/S). I recommend you use viDrop

this freeware is excellent, trust me, it works a treat!

***** to ebuyer, natch' for their excellent service and prompt delivery.

Received mine in good time from Ebuyer. Looks very nice, yet cheap enought to not get paranoid about losing it (like the Wife's IPod). Sounds okay with the supplied earphones but will no doubt sound a lot better with a better pair.

As per the thread, instructions are not good but can be worked out. I set mine to Chinese language in the first few minutes of use and could still guess the menus and set back to English (phew!).

Would be nice if Ebuyer linked the product with memory and 2.5mm adaptor. Ended up buying these elsewhere, and not arrived yet.

HAs anybody worked out where the 2.8 upgrade can be found??? I have the upgrade utility installed on my PC but can not find the upgrade file anywhere.....

Recommended.

Conveting Vob files
review by: Anonymous os: Windows XP

Agree with the other users that this is absolutley brilliant i highly adivse that this player is great value for money if you buy this product you get a choice of avi converters to use

However I am still having issues getting the audio and video to sync for films.

What are people using to rip the VOB files from the DVD?

And are you then just using AVI Converter 3 to convert to AVI at 20 frames?

Is the problem that PAL is at 25 frames and this device uses 20 frames that is the problem?

Any help appreciated

Very Good Buy

I bought this based on the current reviews and I am very happy with it. It looks terrific and screen size is very good for a small player.

It is ipod style in a bit in that the back is metallic, front is black and earphones look a bit like the ipod ones.

It took a short while to get used to the controls but once you realise how to use it, its a breeze!

The sound quality is good and the navigation is very easy also.

I have 3 concerns though.

1) The strength of the buttons as the right arrow key seems to be not so responsive as the others and you can feel it press in more than the others.

2) Mini SD. I put in the memory card and the card sticks out a little. It would be very easy to eject this accidentally and god knows what would happen if you are playing a track on that card. A more snug fit would of been better.

3) I also had a problem after a few days in that everytime I started the player, the language was Chinese! It was a bit of a mission to find the language page in settings. I change it to English but on restarting, its back to Chinese! In the end I just selected Reset/Apply Default Setting and it seems to have done the trick. Im hoping this is not a problem that may come back though.

I am giving this 4 out of 5. I would of given it 5 out of 5 had it not been for my concerns.

But for the price you pay, and the quality you get, you can't go wrong. I am thinking of ordering another one as the one I currently have has been taken by my daughter! :)
