Good Little Player

Just got this for a tenner, very pleased.

-Sound quality seems fine, not amazing but not awful.

-Build quality seems fine, all plastic, will probably break but it's very simple so few parts to go wrong.

-Battery life, not tested.

-Basic operation, switch power on and then hold play for 2 seconds, red LED turns on, wait 2-5 seconds, red LED starts flashing and song starts playing. Press play to pause and red LED will go constant.

-While playing, if you hold play the player will stop playing and the blue LED will flash for a few seconds. This is basically some kind of (pointless?) standby mode, makes more sense to just switch the on/off switch to off. It seems no matter how you turn it off, when you turn it on it will resume from the point you were last listening to.

-Switch hold on and blue LED comes on to let you know it's on hold

-Plays All songs in shuffle, just copy the files onto it as if it's a USB pen drive. It can deal with folders but it just plays all songs in random, doesn't do anything fancy with playing a folder at a time (like the zen stone does).

-Comes with a wall charger than you can plug any USB cable into. I succesfully used this to charge my blackberry and k800i (as well as this mp3 player)

-You have to switch the power switch off. It seems if you just stop the music, it wont switch off the player. The power switch must (dis)connect the power to make sure there are no issues with charge running down.

Excellent value for money

Great value for money and hard to understand how Ebuyer make a profit by selling this. Its well worth the money for an entry level MP3.

I purchased it for my lad to take on holiday. It is simple to operate and has everything you need.

Only minor niggle was that you need MP3 tracks to download into its memory and most audio CDs are WMA. Simple to overcome by downloading some free MP3 - WMA coversion software though and converting audio CDs using this software before dragging and dropping into the MP3 drive.

Otherwise, great value for money, slightly tinny sound but more than adequate.

Unbelievable

For the money you pay this thing is unbeatable. i mean under 9 quid for a 1Gig mp3!? brilliant. arrived on time as usual so top marks for ebuyer!

easy to control but a few downsides. there are only 3 that i can see and none are gonna make you cry.

first of all you dont know when it needs charging it just dies (lil annoying but does have long battery life)secondly the headphones are in a word woeful but so long as you get a nice pair the sound is perfect. lastly this thing is only in shuffle and sometimes it plays the same song before all the others, ok if its your fav song but can get a little annoying.

So apart from those 3 small things this thing is amazing. a def buy for a cheap and cheerfull mp3.

Hope this helps anyone wondering to buy this :)

Audio cds come in WAV not WMA format. Just change the setting in media player and you won't need a converter program.
