The Digital IXUS 960 IS incorporates a 3.7x zoom lens with Canon's renowned optical Image Stabilizer technology to counteract camera shake. The ultra-compact lens incorporates an Ultra-High Refractive Aspherical Index (UA) element for the capture of high quality images throughout the zoom range.

In tandem with IS, user-selected Auto ISO Shift offers enhanced protection against camera shake. High ISO 1600 and High ISO Auto target the blur caused by typical subject movement.

Canon's DIGIC III processor provides lightning quick responses, superb image quality and advanced noise reduction for sharper, clearer images. Face Detection AF/AE/FE and iSAPS analyze the scene, detect subjects in the frame and select the optimum focus, exposure and flash settings.
