Nice Kit - Best Mid Range

Windows VistaI spend HOURS on my PC and wanted a nice keyboard mouse combo, I didn't want to spend 100's on the bluetooth ones.
NOT cause I was cheap but I wanted a same layout to the keyboard I have at work, BUT didn't like any of the high end devices keyboard layouts.
This is perfect standard layout. All the short cut keys work in Vista without having to bother with the drivers CD, I've thrown that away.
All the keys are nice and soft to touch and the range is great although my room isn't huge.
All in all BEST mid range device I could find

One point for some people is that there is no Caps Lock Light or Num Lock light.
Thought that might have bothered me but.... It really doesn't, don't let it put you off.

Great batteries

Windows VistaI have been using the set for around 2 weeks and so far my rechargeable mouse has only been charged once! I must point out that it is used all day, every day.
Remember to only charge the mouse when it turns red as this will preserve the battery's lifespan.
For a kit this price the batteries are superb.

Windows VistaBrilliant , best iv'e used so far. Installed setpoint 4, rebooted, plugged in and worked straight away, no problems everthing worked and easy to configure buttons. First class delivery from Ebuyer, ordered on free delivery and was here within 36Hrs.

Brill but buggy

Windows VistaOriginally ordered this for my auntie but I couldn't let it go. It looks real sleek & is excellent to use.
However once installing setpoint in Vista I could not use my F keys. After searching the logitech forums I discovered the fix.
For those of you not familiar with the registry I have created an automatic fix, just download & run "Logitech F key Fix.reg" to fix the problem.

All in all an excellent set which loses a star for buggy software.
in-built obsolesence?

Windows XPI bought the previous model of this in Dec 2005. It was very good for a couple of years until early 2008 when the keyboard just gave up.
Now, the mouse has stopped charging - changing the battery to a new rechargeable allows it to work until it runs out. I need to buy a new wireless bundle and unfortunately the Logitech gets the most reviews! This time I may stick with a normal one and recharge batteries myself
Cap /Number lock lights
Not sure but I think you may find the Cap /Number lock lights incorporated into the mouse charging station/cradle.
